Just how small is this? Checking out the HUSH-X guitar from Donner - Demo/Review

Музыка

Hey guys, it's been a while since I reviewed anything from Donner, but today I'm back with their HUSH-X headless travel guitar. It looks cool, but can I actually shred on it? Time to find out. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe.

Just watched your video and what great timing! I'm 72 yrs young and wheelchair bound. I decided to take up learning the guitar and currently have 3 of them. 1 acoustic, a headless electric and a semi-hollow. They're nice to play but a bit bulky in the chair. Wanted to let you know that I just purchased a Hush-X, I think it'll be perfect to play in my chair and easy to travel with. Looking forward to getting it! Thanks again for the video.

I own the other Hush-X, the natural finished one. Not only does that guitar shred, but the sound is very good. As good as some of the guitars I have with 4 figure price. For the price of the Hush-X, every guitarist would love it. Things to really love about it… the HPL fretboard isn’t subject to humidity changes! There’s no shrinkage or expansion. It never needs any oil and the ball end finish on the Stainless frets is premium! The Weight! You can hold this guitar all day and not even notice. The size. It can travel with you or sit beside you and takes very little space. It’s a joy to play when it is setup properly and intonated. Love the comfort of the asymmetrical neck. The choice of passive or active electronics with the press of a button is great. The case is also more sturdy than I expected. The 1st drawback is the overall setup was really not good when it first arrived. It needed a thorough setup! Luckily I have a good guitar collection and do this myself so it wasn’t a very big problem for me. For people who don’t do their own full setups, (neck bow, action, bridge adjustments, pickup height, intonation) there will be additional expense for you to really love this guitar. But once done, you *will* love this little wonder. The other drawback is the bridge. It is low quality and tuning stability suffers, so you’ll be frequently retuning.

I have one getting delivered in 2 days. Due to the gig bag/packed up size, I bought one to take it on my motorcycle camping trips/tours along with my spark GO!..should be a lot of fun in the evenings 😁 might have to buy a bigger dry bag to put it into, as the UK weather isn't the best for transporting guitars 🤣 The wife is gonna be p*ssed as i only bought a Schecter C-6 plus 2 weeks ago 😎

I think both you guys may have spent too much time in front of a cranked 100W amp. I built a guitar from scratch; everything but the tuners. Maple thru the body neck w a one piece brass bridge/string holder. Aluminum fingerboard. Originally I had Pine body wings, but I thought I was hearing a little muffledness from the Pine, so I replaced them w Mahogany. Yep. W the Mahogany it sounded better, the muffling was gone. And thats w the wood not even inline w the string vibration and an Aluminum board.... Actually that you can make a small body that sounds good, goes more into proving TONEWOOD than refuting it. The new small body Spirits sound as good a regular guitar. They are a Maple neck w Basswood body. The old all Maple neck and body ones were just ok sounding.... 4 kinds of Tonewood deniers. 1 Assholes who just like to argue. We will assume thats not your category... 2 Folks that hear it, but don't care. Fine. I don't care about frets size or fingerboard radius. W some its all important... 3 Folks w hearing lose, who can't hear the frequencys that help differentiate wood types... and 4 which I think may be not even be considered usually. Phase sensitivity. Like how Bats echo locate. A group of friends and I came up w a game while in a WWII bunker. We'd turn off our lights then flip a dime to the concrete floor. I and another guy could go over and pick it up no problem. Most, 3, had to feel around a little, but they were within a foot. 1 guy just could hear right or left. 1 guy just heard it hit. Which explains w he sometimes looked the wrong direction for approaching cars.... Yeah. Don't tell me what I am or am not hearing. Just say your experience, because they are probably 2 different things.

@@terryenglish7132 Isn't it funny how you can't try to make your case without trying to offend the people you're trolling Terry (the troll 🧌) I have worked on, built, and played guitars and basses for over 40 years. Many being played through at low volumes through small practice amps. I have heard zillions of tones from zillions of types of wood combinations, even plywood bodies (which actually sound pretty good.) Richard is right... Guitar Max is right (check out his tonewoods video) He actually cuts through a couple of bodies to expose the different woods used. And go back and watch this video from the beginning, Richard played it clean at low levels....it sounded pristine! The truth is that the tone is all in your hands. That is a fact that has been proven time and time again. Period. (Mic Drop)! Hahahahaha 😂

Its a Metal , shredding channel, so its fair to assume that maybe even a majority of posters have hearing damage. That fact that a blind guy can't see light, doesn't allow him to say light doesn't exist. ... So you don't hear a difference between woods or don't care ?
