It really suits the dance better, although I don't really like this choreography. I wish they had made a new map for Darkest Hour, after listening to it several times I started to like the song. Unfortunately, they wanted to reuse it, because I think they missed the chance to do something much better.

But if you think about it, the lyrics of Darkest Hour might say something... like it gives the impression that Night Swan wanted to be a perfect dancer and that was her dream, maybe "the game" that the song refers to is Just Dance itself and she stayed up late playing. But when she managed to enter JD's world through the traveler, she had the goal of dominating this "world" and maybe that's why she has this concept of shadows and transforming others.
