Great to hear an up beat message, lovely to see a positive smile from a lovely person, in such a dark time. You have cheered me up and I am ready “to keep buggering on” (Winston Churchill) for another day. Thank you, I will be out in the garden planting potatoes in pots, turning over the compacted soil, planting seeds in the green house and drinking tea. When things look bad put the kettle on make a brew and have a stroll around in the garden.

I think we are all are a little nervous, I liked your lovely comment. Gardeners around the world should all unite to spread a little cheer amongst all the doom. I live in a small rural village in northern England, a Saxon cross stands in the village square the daffodils are growing all around, we walk down to the ford past the old village church and through the lanes looking a the first signs of spring. We are self isolating passing the time with working in the garden. Hope you and your family keep well.

Hi there, Thanks so much for making this video. I could tell that you were feeling very sad and anxious about what's going on. I'm a gardener in the West Midlands. I understand how you feel and I wanted to say that I am thinking of you and please try not to worry too much. Easy to say it I know! You are absolutely right that getting out into your patch of land is the thing. I'm planning all sorts for my garden. I rushed down to my local garden centre the other day to stock up on compost and seeds and stuff in case it suddenly shut. Maybe you should take a load to stuff to where ever you live in case you can't get to your allotment. Nature is amazing and I too felt very emotional the other day when I saw birds, daffodils, hawthorn and when I watched 'gardeners world's on Friday!! Please don't worry. We all understand and I look forward to seeing your videos as you put them out.
