I’m going to be honest, I’d like to know more about Cielo, he had golden wings in which is a very rare thing as golden wings mean that you’re 90% kind or more. And another thing is that for some reason his wings were big, this is a type of wings that we only see ruler of heaven. And another thing worth mentioning is, did he become the ruler? Well sure he called Samael but there MUST’VE been SOMEONE who took Dion’s place after he retired. And another thing is how did he die? He couldn’t have been in heaven for all his alive and died life.

Well it could possibly be just because of the fact that they’re not important to the plot. anyways, most of the important characters that are angels and that we see don’t tend to have golden wings (not including tri-angels)

In my personal opinion, Dion really isn’t the best ruler, look I’m NOT saying he’s the worst (that title already belongs to the 10,000 years in the future ruler and Gilbert) but he’s WAY too thoughtfulless of his people. When Samael tried to overthrow him, he insulted the fact that Samael came without his permission, even though what Samael was saying that someone attacked heaven, and look I’m NOT angry at Dion for making Samael a devil, that’s completely understandable, but it’s the fact that he was angered by the fact that Samael came without his permission. Like imagine Samael was telling the truth? Anyways, now let’s look at Cielo. Cielo is someone who has no experience at resisting damage or ruling yet HE was supposed to rule KINGDOMS, and Dion doesn’t even seem to realize the fact that there’s absolutely no way Cielo would even be able to resist half of it. Or even the fact that Cielo has NO experience whatsoever with ruling something and so he would must likely get exhausted rather quickly.

I like how Dion truly represents a morally grey character. On one hand, he seems to be a responsible and capable leader. Ruling over both realms can’t be easy at all. And he swiftly deals with any and all threats, plus he super powerful. But on the other, he seems kinda careless and doesn’t want anything less than perfect. He got mad at Samuel just for barging in and giving him urgent news. Yeah, turned out to be a coup attempt, but still. What if Samuel wasn’t lying? Would he have reacted the same way? And he doesn’t really seem to actually consider his subjects, judging by how he thrust the role of ruler upon Celio, despite the latters doubts. He doesn’t even try to reassure him, just tells him to never doubt him. Truly a mix of both good and bad. Fitting for the Ruler of both Heaven and Hell.

Samael really is one interesting person. Since the exact video he came from, he’s someone that was ALWAYS high when it comes to authority, when he was an Angel, he was the highest rank there is, even having golden wings. And well the idea is kinda stupid, HE was the one that FIRST tried to overthrow a ruler, not Lucifer, not Lucy, not hell’s savior’s. But HIM. And even then, he was somewhat smart about it, he was the highest rank there is meaning Dion (welll should’ve) would have a lot of trust in him, and unlike hell’s savior’s he (well tried) MANIPULATED the idea, because let’s be honest there’s no way Samael would win in a fight against Dion, and so the fact he realize’s that makes him smarter then most other people who tried to overthrow the ruler. Anyways, and when he became a devil HE was so powerful that he managed to make a curse, every other devil we’ve seen that managed to do something like that were ruler’s, none of them, not a single one was NOT a ruler. But yet SAMAEL managed to do it. I honestly would like to see more of him, like how he managed to create the curse, and how he got in to heaven.

In my opinion, I can understand Cielo. He’s JUST one person, how is he supposed to rule an entire kingdom? No, no, no. It’s NOT JUST one kingdom, HE’S ruling BOTH heaven AND hell, both of them together. And another thing worth mentioning, is that if he isn’t able to withstand it, HE’S body could and probably would have crumbled if he endured it, reminder he’s JUST ONE person. he’s not two, he’s not three. He’s ONE person, and another thing that’s worth mentioning is that he’s probably been in heaven ever since he died, meaning he would have little-to no abilities to resist high amounts of damage at all and making the idea of him crumbling all the more likely. And even if he somehow managed to survive, there would have been to much pressure on him, ruling heaven and hell (and possibly purgatory) with little-to no experience at ruling at all? He definitely would have became exhausted sooner then later.

As someone who takes interest upon Dion, I would like to see and know more about him, from what we know of him, is that he was the first ever ruler and that a bit after he retired, he started seeking out other dimensions. And you see, Dion in of himself is interesting for many reasons for someone who has not much screen time, anyways I’ll start explaining. Being the first ruler ever: You see, we for a long time NEVER really properly knew who the ruler was, sure people had some ideas of who could they be (more like he be) but not good enough to actually get it, and so when we were first introduced to him it clearly and very much caused interest as we by that time barely knew of him. and the thing is, he the moment we saw him already was giving this “serious” type of ruler and someone NOT to be missed with. Personality: The thing about Dion is that he’s very mysterious, we still to this day don’t know much about him and he’s personality helps causes even MORE interest, we as people tend to get more interested in those who are very mysterious than those who you can understand from the moment you meet them. and you see that’s because we take interest on finding out things, understanding others whether it’s for the better or the worst we take interest in these types of things. Another thing worth mentioning is how people also take interest in the “not exactly a bad person but is very careless” types of people as they themselves are interesting this is also something that helps Dion rise up to popularity faster than most other characters (Edgar, Emilia’s mother and father and brother, Edgar’s family, Heather Bright, the ruler of purgatory at the time of Anastasia’s and Gilbert’s timeline and the present ruler of purgatory). He himself also helps himself with being highly powerful (let’s be honest, if you’re an anime watcher/manga reader most of the people you know probably like the characters who are very powerful). Potential significance to the plot: Ok, let’s just get started. The thing with Dion is that he’s a character that already has SO much potential to be both an extremely interesting character AND one that is also very important to the main storyline. You see, the idea that Dion is seeking out other dimensions can help him get important to the main storyline (the holy war arc) as he could possibly go and see what’s happening with heaven, hell and purgatory, just for him to end the holy war arc, this would both be an interesting way to end the war but also one that would be more so realistic. Let me explain, Dion has ALWAYS been this “powerful character, must NOT be missed with” and so by the time the holy war arc is happening he would have became more powerful then ever before. And so it would make sense for him to be the ONE that ends the war. (Thank you for reading this btw, I’m also sorry for this being so long)
