Always loved this song, but hadn't heard it in a while. It has new meaning to me after battling Cancer for the last 6 years. A LOT of things do...

I just lost my mom on march 9/2012, I heard this song before this sad event came to me, now everytime I play this song is like to see the pic of my mom. I miss u mami... May God bless you, I know you are now in a special place. :'(

Pearl Jam is for 25 years at my side and always helped me through struggled times with their music. Thank you Eddie and all other Bandmembers.

This song is about being grateful for what you have and not taking life for granted.

My DAD passed away March 6th of this year, 2018. This song reminds me of my DAD. I cry every time I hear it. Sounds stupid, but it helps me. Good job.

A late reply, it's never stupid to feel or share a tear for a loved one. Whether that thought is brought by a sound, a smell or even the wind. You should capture the thoughts and his memories/words then write them as you recall the moments. Because he doesn't live in the sound, a smell or the wind....he lives in you. Just an old man's thoughts.

I'm the last living member of my core family. They all moved on within 10yrs. I have Server Progressive MS. This is my favorite video of this song, I thing Pearl Jam is very special. Eddie is More then amazing. I found his work while watching the true film "Into The Wild" His vocal's take you out of yourself. Bravo Eddie!

Someone I love is dying of cancer and he was the first to come to mind as I listened. So achingly sweet and beautifully simple. I love it and now I have to go see if I can buy it on iTunes. I lost my mom almost 5 months ago. 😢 This song hits home really hard. I wish I would have spent more time with her. I took her granted she would always be here. There are a few things I wish I would have told her before she died. That last line cuts the deepest. "Meet you on the other side." I long for the day I will see you in Heaven. I know you'll be there.
