He never said that and adds insult by addressing Princess Catherine as Kate.. his excuse for the non apology is that admitting wrong doing with an apology would be detrimental to a law suit if he says "sorry".

I am an American living in Europe. I have often watched Stephen Colbert because of his satiric take on current events. However, often his efforts at satire are rather childish. I notice that his overuse of the word "allegedly" is often accompanied by a sneer. His conjectures about Prince William and Princess Catherine's marriage were not funny, they were slanderous. I was appalled that he would make such a statement on network television, adding more fodder to all the rumors and conspiracy theories on the internet. Stephen, as an American I am ashamed of your childish attempt at humor. Major abdominal surgery is a very serious matter, and common decency would dictate that you show a little class by refraining from slanderous attempts at humor at the expense of the royal family. Please show some respect for Prince William and Princess Catherine, who are doing their best to serve their country and to parent their children, especially at this difficult time.

I always liked Camila. She met Charles way before Diana. In many cultures people don't marry the one they love and throughout history royals have always married someone who is young and fertile. It's just that this happened in modern times and in the western world. I'm sure Diana's family knew all of this. Sad for Diana, as I'm sure she was a wonderful soul, she didn't deserve this, but she was young and was divorced in time to create a new life for herself, unfortunately she was gone too soon.
