@@ggregg2667 they haven't done hide n seek in a while, a lot of them got burnt out, though smant (I think it was smant) didn't seem super certain about that when he said it. It's been over a year now, either way, and the excitement of a good hiding spot doesn't happen often anymore. I think they need some new vanilla-quality maps to bring any freshness to it at this point.

@@lo0katmyn4me Thanks! I get that it could feel stale after a while all on the same maps. I really liked the team format we saw in the international match a while back. I was hoping that would spark some new 3v3, 4v4 videos even within the normal group. Added a fun dynamic to it.

@@ggregg2667 They tried a number of other things to bring the general format into a fresher state, like freeze tag. But none of it really stuck. For what it's worth, i don't think they're done with HnS, but more of an indeterminate break until the urge to play comes back. As an additional note i just remembered, I believe nintendo striking m*dded videos also could have had an effect, but i don't know if there's any confirmation of that.

A pretty normal round of Hide and Seek. The craziest one was when SmallAnt was on the chappel of Moon Kingdom and was commentating over Fir getting chased disguised as SmallAnt, as if he was the one being chased around. The title is: "The Greatest Game of Mario Hide And Seek ever played"

It’s always a good day when I see a new odyssey hide and seek I can watch a hundred times

I'd like to point out that SPOILERS Plati should've won this I think. In Cascade she didn't restart her timer for a while after Smant killed her, so she should've probably had a higher time. No idea how long it was, but it feels like it was longer than 30 seconds.

yeah it's around 30 seconds, based on Smant's time video timestamp: 12:11 (Smant's time: 16:08) video timestamp: 12:42 (Smant's time: 16:39) -> cut to Plati already changed role before the jump Smant also lost few seconds because he changed his role for few second too.

2 rounds I’ve been waiting for FOREVER to be revisited is Mars and her revenge with her sand kingdom trick jump, and Smant in the gravity mode slingshotting between the shop and the chapel over and over. Those were GREAT rounds and I wish they edited those

If you mean the one at around 17:05, it’s the Voltorb Flip / Game Corner theme from Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver.

In the Cascade round, Smant had the HGSS Game Corner music playing, and I know how to do that in OBS, but I'm not sure how you could still hear his jumps in SMO. To my knowledge, there's no way to keep your game sounds on in SMO without keeping the game music on as well. Like, there's no way to turn off the music in game. Anyone have any clue?
