In my opinion, Megumin is the best person for Kazuma because as we saw in the 3rd season, every time something happens to Kazuma, Megumin is there or supports Kazuma. For example, in the 10th episode, when Kazuma gave up on saving Darkness, Megumin listened to him and saw how hard he tried, so she told him that no matter what he do, he shouldn't regret it.

Yea after the movie ended megumin kinda went on the offensive because she knows kazuma See's megumin's worse and better side but he never complained,so to her kazuma is the perfect man for her to be happy emotionally.

I think one moment that gets looked over is when Megumin and Aqua go to the guild before Kazuma and Darkness. Everyone is mad and yelling at them, and as soon as Kazuma walks in, Megumin spots him and cutely calls to him for help.

The previous, foolish me was actually thinking that Darkness was the one for Kazuma. But then, all in the span of one day, I watched all of Megumin's side story, the movie, and then season 3 in that order and... It's just impossible for me to root for anyone else now. The only thing that makes me sad is that I have to wait for a whole 'nother season again.

I was always team Megumin, and I actually felt the second and especially this season had a lot of great moments that made me appreciate Darkness way more, to the point where I kind of feel bad for her now. However, I think Darkness is happy to be their companion, and while she’s had quite a few, let’s say intimate moments with Kazuma, she’s not really looking for romantic love.

Nah, it was only after the movie that there's a legit romance between them Around season 1 and 2, it was just the usual misunderstanding lucky fanservice moments. Darkness and Megumin talking together in Alcanretia hotspring is probably the only closest thing to their "romance progress" Though if you're talking about Megumin specifically, she just kinda naturally fell in love with Kazuma in oppose to Darkness having Kazuma saved her like a prince on a white horse in this season. I don't know if it's in the side story, spin-off, or later volumes where Megumin talked confirmed about it, and it's basically, aside from how he accepted Megumin for who she is after getting shunned by so many parties, he always accompanied her in her daily explosion, willingly gave her piggyback ride home and even appreciate her craft. Basically, Megumin is the "gamer otaku" while Kazuma is "that person who enjoyed watching you play games and praise you whenever you finished a level even though they're not as passionate". Easy to imagine, right?

Stay strong, Kazuma. You need to resist until she's legal

Me personally I like his relationship with Lalatina a bit more. Specifically Lalatina not Darkness as they are two completely different characters to me lol. They kind of have that teasing relationship that aqua and kazuma have but she also gives off more onee San vibes trying to look out for him when he’s acting foolish. Where as megumin is just as foolish if not more foolish than Kazuma most of the time which makes sense I guess since she’s still a child I believe 14 maybe just turning 15 but she’s never had anything to help her mature

I know it's a different anime but Ryu and Bell from Dan Machi is the same deal to me. It doesn't have the same build up, though, and the development of Kazuma and Megumin's relationship is really cute.
