This game honestly felt like the best Turok nockoff and downgrade of my childhood. And I absolutely loved this game. In some aspects like the ambience, dino designs, and terrain it felt just as good as turok. And in terms of music and bosses (and a few minor mechanics) . This game was miles ahead of turok. Two things. 1. Turok is The Doomslayer after playing too much Assassin's Creed. 2. I feel like Turok (2008) is equal if not better mechanical wise to Jurassic: The Hunted.

I played this so much as a kid and Ive always gotten hella scared from it

I used to play this when I was kid but man that fights with spike was FUCKING hard. After so many tries on the first (open arena) and the final (wall defence) I kicked it's ass

This was good for a first play through but after that... that’s it. This game is a good example of where the developers put more time into visuals and special effects rather than gameplay. The visuals are good but the gameplay makes it just another shot em up game.

I remember replaying this game for hours as a kid. As an adult I don’t think I would have done that. The secondary survival mode was ok, but it lacked depth. The music and ambience is what kept me playing. The game doesn’t take itself too seriously beyond taking the epic action movie trope and letting you ride with it. Hence why the gameplay itself isn’t horribly difficult. I’m certain if you play this as a chill game to run the background when your bored it would give way more enjoyment than if your trying to play something try hard mode. Also if I may add. Why the final cutscene was made so well in comparison to the others I have no clue. The quality of the final cutscene is insane compared to the rest of the game lmao 🤣

I don’t think the game needed to make sense. It’s supposed to be a action movie trope esc type game. That’s supposed to be played casually. Not really a super compatible game. The storyline and everything else about the game are wacky af, but I think that may have been done intentionally. And even if it wasn’t it fit the story well.

Dude, they ported this to the Wii back in the day, and it sucked! The little dinos were real fast, and you couldn’t look down far enough to shoot them around your feet.

This is kind of random, but I feel like there's room for both fictionalized/exaggerated dinosaurs and real/accurate dinosaurs in the public eye.

I'm very nostalgic for this game, loved it as a little kid but to everyone saying that the game needs a remake, I'll be real, I feel like that's probably just blind nostalgia, this game had cool metal music, guns and dinosaurs plus bullet time so of course we're gonna love it as kids, but when you get down to it, the shooting mechanics are atrocious, the game doesn't look great, and honestly its kind of a turok rip off lol

Honestly if I could have a remaster or remake i would prefer turok evolution over this. But if this was a choice I would remake this in a heart beat. This game presented itself as more a casual shooter with action movie elements blended with that trope. And it fit well. If it simply had more content and more development time it could have been 10* better. I really wouldn’t mind it coming back because very few games are within this kid of casual fantasy shoot action genre (without competitive elements). The best we have is doom and that’s pretty much it. You can argue halo and call of duty are similar but they stick fairly grounded to well known tropes and ignore a lot of the fantasy elements and stick to the multiplayer for the most part. I wouldn’t mind a linear game with levels that felt like traditional games so long as there are a lot to them and there’s a reason to replay the game. Extra features like multiplayer and level creator wouldn’t be bad additions either. And I feel a game like this would be great if it emulates doom. Since they would a share so much similar elements. Both also have badass music. And unlike doom the characters in this one have a general direction.

10:56 - 11:16 Now, where have I seen this fight before? I wonder...🤔 This game is so nostalgic to me, along with the Dino Crisis game series, and the Turok game series. I adored all of these games when I was younger - even though I was a girl, I loved dinosaurs, and I still do! Spike (the Spinosaurus) was the best boss out of all of them, in my opinion. I think that Cauldron HQ, the developer of Jurassic: The Hunted, should consider making a remaster of this game, similar to how Capcom created remasters of their Dino Crisis series.

If they really wanted to, I feel like they could actually carve out a special corner of dinosaur FPS with a remake of this game. Improved graphics, expanded game length, a more fleshed-out story, and new guns could actually make this an appealing package.
