I love all the Jurassic Park movies and I’m going to remake the Jurassic Park movies

I'll admit this film wasn't as strong as the original, but I still enjoyed it a lot. Each film has something to add to the great franchise that it is part of.

That’s exactly how I feel, obviously the original is a classic that can never be outdone, but the idea of dinosaurs being alive today and genetic engineering has a lot to offer story wise, when you look at all the films they each have something different to offer.

@@titusmccarthy Yes The Lost World is pretty overrated imo. JP3 had an absolutely horrible production so you can forgive some of its flaws, and overall it is still a pretty decent and entertaining movie. The Lost World on the other hand is pretty boring, terribly written and had absolutely stupid scenes (like the Stegosaurus scene..m the way it ends makes like no sense. Same for the dead crew on the boat). It is only saved by Spielberg’s directing and Goldblum’s charisma. Spielberg is still my favorite director of all time but the TLW remains his weakest movie

It’s definitely more *focused* than Lost World. But not as fun and the emotional stakes aren’t as strong because Johnston can’t do tension like Spielberg.

These ‘Making-Of’ documentaries make you appreciate these movies more.

I remember being so hype for this as a kid. I was in about 1st grade. My parents had showed me JP and the Lost World up to that point. I fell in love with the Spinosaurus because of that film. Still my favorite dinosaur to this day.

Say what you want, but this film is completely underrated. Having Alan Grant is a saving grace, yes. But when watching these BTS and how JP3 was made, how could you not love it ?! The movie is short, but the excitement and set pieces add great moments of action / thrill

the story was cheap, anyone that knows anything about JP movies knows this movie production was a shitshow, with a lot of changes and re writtings even while filming, not to mention the dumb incoherent scenes like when the spinosaurs rams and destroy a reinforced fence made to keep dinosaurs in, yet, seconds later its unable to do the same to a quite simple door. That among other dumb scenes in this movie. I'm that harsh even forgiving them how awfull the spinosaurus is, considering that by the time of the movie there was not much known about it or many fossils, but something that was know back then was that first, they eat fish, second they might be larger than a T-Rex, but that doesnt mean mor powerfull since it was obvious they didnt had giant strong muscles on his head and jaws like the T-Rex had.

@@pusherreal3737 TLW is the worst. So dark and depressing. And a girl knocks out a raptor with GYMNASTICS.

The 2nd and 3rd films dont get enough praise and credit for the work done. Everything was done so well with the plot, characters, visual/practical effects and dinos. I must give my respect to them for taking the time and effort to create the biggest dino animatronic, the spino.

Shout out to John Sprague, my film lighting teacher - standing in the middle 6:29 and throughout this video. He was a gaffer and lighting technician on this film. He would tell us stories about how difficult it was to shoot this movie out in Hawaii - how ridiculously hot it was - and how much the crew had to adapt in the chaos because they were essentially in a jungle. That's something about these behind the scenes features that isn't captured fully. Trust me, the stories of moving, prepping, and filming robotic dinosaurs in the real jungle of Hawaii - all while trying to DO your job and staying under budget and on time - it's all much more interesting than the movie turned out.

This used to be my least favorite until they made Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Dominion and I realized that this one still has the magic that the original two films had so the original trilogy will always be better than the Jurassic World trilogy.

@JannesvanUrk I haven't seen "Dominion" yet", but I think the problem with "Fallen Kingdom" was that it took the concept from "Lost World", meaning the use of corporate deception to take the dinosaurs off the island, and then went waaaay too far off-kilter. Introducing human cloning was a cool idea, but the execution could've been better. It kind of felt like they were trying to cram enough material for TWO movies into ONE. Really, I think they should've made "Jurassic World" for the sake of sentimentally closing the circle, but they should've left things alone after that. (7/24/2022)

Good sir jurassic world was a perfect introduction to the sequel of the first trilogy and its sequels are what failed the jurassic world trilogy fallen kingdom when I first watched it it was new and unique but re watching it I saw that it lacked what the first jw movie had so did dominion but overall the 2 trilogy are great

Jurassic park 3 added new lore that jurassic world or jurassic park 4 if they made it could have built off of but jurassic world didnt. The JW Has no connections to the jp franshise and I think they should have atleast made one more jp movie to conclude all the jurassic park lore and stories before making jurassic world.

There is a clever bit of foreshadowing in this movie. When the Kirbys meet Grant in a restaurant to recruit him, the song "Big Hat, No Cattle" is playing in the background. If you search for the lyrics, it's about the speaker being a lifelong liar. So it's a hint that both the Kirbys and their "mercenary" crew are not really who they say they are.

I grew up watching this movie. I had my dad get me the VHS as soon as it was on the shelves. This is one of those movies that gets better with age. They don't make them like this anymore.

This movie has one of the best lines in the whole franchise, and it still gives me the chills: Amanda Kirby: "This is how you make dinosaurs?" Alan Grant: "No. This is how you play God." (7/24/2022)

People don't like JP 3 as much as the rest and for good reasons. The story was not as good as the last two and characters weren't as good. However the dinosaur designs were amazing, the environments were honestly better than the 2nd, the CGI was amazing for the time and still is, they had amazing action sequences, Sam Neil was great as Alan Grant as always. To me JP 3 is part of my heart, for a kid that grew up on the movie this was the Jurassic Park I always wanted to see because it was more Dino action not as much story. People may not like this one as good as the rest but for me, it's a part of me. I love JP 3.

But i get why the kirbys werent liked as much...... screaming alot in the beginning but screamed less as time went on.... showing more maturity and vharacter development.... but billys development was just amazing

JP3 is nostalgic for me, I remember seeing showings on TV in Spanish dub along with the other two before Jurassic World released, and it was a nice close off for the series at the time. It wasn’t the best movie of all time nor could it touch the original, but for what was done with it, it was a fun film.

The original was a classic but THIS.... I've watched the 3rd movie 10 times more than the original... literally more than 50 times... im not lying... I can almost say the lines one by one

Tbh, It's my favourite Jurassic Movie. All three are Goated. But This is the best. Thrill, Stakes, All about dinosaurs, Best version of Alan Grant, and The Vibe of that Island. Best. 2nd is Lost World. The same thing goes here. Best Ian Malcolm. Last Is 1st but it does't mean it's bad. Still Goated. ❤❤

Cant believe its been 22 years since this JP3 came out. I went to the AMC theater here in Houston on the opening day. In my opinion, It was an outstanding well made movie with different story. Inro of different dinosaur, Spinosaurus was a super creation and ofcourse different Island which Dr Alan Grant never been on. Rescue mission story. And remember director is not Spielberg for this one.

I feel jurassic park 3 gets a lot of unnecessary hate. Sure it's not as good as the first 2 but it's still a great movie in its own way. Has so many cool moments and the spinosaurus is still in my opinion the best antagonistic dinosaur in the whole franchise. I have great memories about this movie having pretty much grown up with this one being born in 2003. The spinosaurus' design is one of my favorite dinosaur designs in cinema and the same goes to the raptors.

JP3 was never my favorite, but compared to the JW Series, my appreciation for this has grown

JP3 did what the JW trilogy failed to do. Make Velociraptors terrifying. JP3 kept that raptor terror especially in claustrophobic environments and still holds up. There is no suspense, no terror, no nothing in the JW movies except for all the dino fan service and cuddly raptors. We need a new suspense/thriller JP film or leave it alone forever.

Jurassic Park III is over hated now.

While the weakest in the OG trilogy, it still stands above the entire new trilogy. Especially with how real the dinos feel. None of the new movies feel real. You could tell the people working on the OG trilogy studied animals and knew how they should move and behave, as opposed to the new movies where they move and act like cartoons.

The new ones are over CGI adhd action movies. OG were more gritty and suspenseful and overall more fun to watch

I love how kind of bleak and hopeless this one was. Like as soon as the plane is destroyed all I can think is "they're dead" and the other movies don't have that. Even the score kind of reflects that.

What I like the most about Jurassic Park 3 is that it sets on being a good and entertaining monster movie. It doesn't try to outshine Jurassoc Park 1 and 2.

Even though Jurassic Park III is my least favorite movie in the franchise along with the Jurassic World trilogy, JP3 had some amazing special effects, Stan Winston's Studio did an amazing job designing the creatures and made them more colorful and life-like. Such a shame, they didn't bring back Dr. Ian Malcolm and Dr. Sarah Harding.. If they did, this would be my favorite right next to The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park. 🙂

Dominion didn't have anything. Instead of actually making a good conclusion, they made a completely new story without finishing the one they already made

They're not just people than they are just kids coming in, new to Jurassic and not understanding of what older viewers have grown up and dealt with. Yea, I'm an absolute freak for the rex and was pretty upset as a kid with this film, but I've come to appreciate it after the JW trilogy. Still not as good as I enjoyed TLW, but still better than the likes of Fallen Kingdom or Dominion.

Based on how production of JP3 went (last minute major script revisions/cuts/changes) it’s amazing we even got what we did. Say what you want but it’s a decent Jurassic movie with some great moments.

Yes it has some silly moments and things that may not make sense. You can’t deny how much effort they put into this film to be made as much as there where problems behind the scenes and how much Joe Johnson cares about this franchise. Yes messy script but i think it turned out to be a good 90 minute action packed film. You cannot say this film is boring at all, they change it up a with the spino. You have to give them where credit is due. The trilogy is solid and I don’t see why it gets hated as much as it does. Yes it’s not as good as the original but it’s still a good time and honestly some top moments out of the whole franchise are in this film.

The Spino maquette having a party hat and mask along with stuff in its mouth kakes me giggle. 😂

Everything in all of these movies 🎥 of Jurassic Park, The Lost World Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park 3, Jurassic World, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, Jurassic World Dominion and Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous ARE BOTH AWESOME in the way how they made dinosaurs 🦖🦕 and one Saber Tooth Tiger 🐅 back to life

JP 3 has it's flaws but I enjoy it a lot and I think it has some of the best dinosaur designs of the series.

The thing is that I cannot judge this movie regarding the scenario. It just speaks to my heart as a fan.

JP3 had not only the best looking version of sorna but some of the best dinosaur designs along with some really good scenes utilizing both the animals and their setting for drama while showcasing the world in detail. Just sad the story couldn't have been on par with the first two JP films, if the story was stronger and paired with the really good dinosaur and pterosaur scenes we would have had the best end for the original trilogy by far.

The declining quality of the films is a microcosm of the collapse of society, JP3 is still a remnant of a bygone era which I was only a few years far from being alive in and wasn't even born yet but it was better and you didn't have to worry about the downfall of civilisation just yet. The film shows that the situation they're in is not as bad as the chaos now.

This was the best Jurassic park movie simply because of the raptor that says ALAN.

Even though JP3 has a bad rep from critics scores or whatnot, personally I love this movie. Inclusion of the pteranodon alone is enough. The whole scene in the aviary also was one of the best IMO.

One thing I would say... Jurassic Park 3 was the most fast paced, action packed out of all the Jurassic Park films. The story might be straightforward and flat at times than the first two but it was still a really great time. Heck this Jurassic Park is better than Jurassic World and other newer entries of the series. And I love the Spinosaurus man! The T-Rex is still the iconic one but out of all of them, the Spino is still the most aggressive and vicious Dino antagonist in the series yet.

Jurassic Park trilogy films are the best than the modern Jurassic World trilogy films. The dinosaurs looked so real in the JP films that it never disappoints me whenever I watch these. So original.But Jurassic World films used CGI which looked everything artificial. I couldnt enjoy the modern ones. Steven directed films are always cool!

This may be my least favorite jp movie, but i love watching the actors and the whole writing team behind the scenes. You can easily tell they're putting in a lot of hard work. I love the new species of dinosaurs like spinosaurus ( even though it killed the t.rex , spino's starting to grow on me.) , ankylosaurus, corythosaurus, & ceratosaurus. Even though pteranodons first appeared in the lost world, i'm glad they got a bigger role in jp3. I also love the raptor designs. Especially the males. It's a pity the mosasaurus breeding tank was cut out. We would've seen marine reptiles for the first time in the jp franchise. Wish that was mentioned in the video. Bottom line, it's fun seeing the whole crew working together.

This movie isn’t a perfect cap to the original trilogy which is why it’s not well loved, however as a Jurassic park ENTRY, it’s simply magic. The spino was incredible!

The ingen spino was modified with other DNA. After TLW and masrani bought the islands, ingen went back to sorna to do the amalgam testing. It's where they mix DNA. The spino was made to be stronger and more agressive.

Good film just lacked a good ending. Would rank Fallen Kingdom lower.
