Roland is proud to announce the JUPITER-80 Version 2 update. This free download emphasizes the powerful live performance potential of the JUPITER-80, adding new sounds, Registration Play screen, Vintage Low Pass Filters, Multi-effect structures, Control Surface Plug-in, and more!
Version 2 adds;
- Three types of low-pass filters; combined with the previous type, a total of four filters are now available
- New MFX structures; in addition to the previous parallel connection, a total of five structures (including serial connection) are available
- A Registration Play screen for easier access to sounds during live performance
- Better integration with SONAR software; a dedicated plug-in for your computer lets you easily map the JUPITER-80 to control SONAR's faders and soft synths

Can this instrument work as a kind of a software plug in synth in Logic Pro as well?
Thanks to Roland for this fantastic update. New filters are fantastic ! Now we just have to wait for this dedicated ipad apps. Can you imagine something on the OS or in ipad to sequence the drums kit inside the Roland ? You have the technology of drums box, you put the sounds inside the JP-80 already, but there is a functionality missing. We can't play drums on a keyboard while playing upper and lower livesets. We do have only two hands.
Is Roland going to continue to bring out more sounds for it? Im thinking about buying one.
are the new sound free or do you have to buy them?
How about a physical programmer like the JX-10 or the JD-800 had. Also make magnetized like those also.
Bass line of "another creation" sounds stunningly familar, anyone can reckon it ?
Very nice update Roland. How does this work with ProTools or just with Sonar?
I assume the "two very famous american companies" lowpass filters are Sequential Circuits (prophet-5) and Oberheim (ob-8)?
Could I control ProTools with ACT or do I have to use Sonar then maybe run that over into ProTools if I want. Since I know Protools better. I guess if I started to learn Sonar I would get use to it aswell. I guess Sonar is editing software aswell. Not sure if it has all the features of ProTools.

Now that sounds like a Jupiter. Glad Roland Listened to the synth heads, nobody wants piano's, just a Phatt Synth..
I love the Roland Jupiter, but i hate the Apple products. So is there another possibility to connect the Roland with another device, like Windows or Android ?
