This kind of videos are gold as an introduction to the game. Great job making this shorts because we and new players can learn easily and fast!

you can try launching east, same process that way you'll approach and enter luna SOI parallel to its velocity, that way you'll save fuel for retro burn to enter luna orbit.

I would like to say I'm not very happy with this video currently, It's hard to fit this kind of tutorial into a short video format so I'll potentially make it full length next year or something

I cant believe my first recreation is a succesfull recreation of the voskhod, now im trying to build the sputnik module for the sputnik version, but it is kind of hard to attach, i have to attach a beam on the side and add it in like that so it can seperate, it even has extendable landing legs with the landing legs.

Honestly not a nice advice sorry to say it, like you should always get the encounter periapsis low altitude to consume way less delta V when burning retrograde (just simple orbital mechanic principle) and the retrograde burn you did is very inefficient, ideally you can do two things: A) Plan the burn directly from start to have a low altitude periapsis B) Do a low delta V correction mid course (radial In direction to move the periapsis toward the moon) If anything of those things are previously done, while still at the beginning on the entrance of Luna SOI you can still correct with radial in direction burn to move periapsis down and then burn retrograde on periapsis, this will be far efficient to just burn retrograde on an high altitude periapsis.

When I posted this video originally I didn’t have much general understanding of complex orbital mechanics but after playing games with N body physics I understand things much more so yeah that videos outdated now, either way the rocket I was using has way more deltaV than needed and it was more of a thing to show how to do it

can you give a link to that rocket?

Why to the west Isnt the rotation of droo to the east wouldnt it be better to launch towards the east becuse you would also use the spin of droo to your advantage

@@DeepSpaceIndustriesLOL Btw Thanks for this short video too. With this video I was finally able to land one on the moon.Although yours was only 60secs tutorial it was the best among the all the available SR2 Tutorial.Everyone was just doing things rather than just explaining. It is necessary to know why we are doing "certain things" so that in future we don't copycat the tutorial.Once again thank you very much and looking forward to lengthy tutorial too

@@DeepSpaceIndustriesLOL well, irl there's cons of flying a west ward orbit, does that get accounted in SR2?
