Japanese are NOT special they just stick to practicing a lot.. we can do that too. stop saying they are better look for example at El Estepario Siberiano (from Spain) he practices all the time and he is therefore really good, but he started as a shit drummer like the rest of the drummers in the world. The differences between a shit drummer and a great drummer is just practice. it has nothing to do with being Asian or not.

Amazing drummer, she also has amazing energy and the best drummer face in the world ! ;-) Actually, I think she was in a band before and is at least 18, I saw some comments she is 23. And one of her videos from a few years ago mentioned she started 8 years ago. She to get to this level in 10 years... yeah, at the very least a great talent.

Junna was such a highlight to watch and listen to while she was in the band Trident er Girls Rock Band Kakumei as they were known before she left. She couldn't be any happier behind a drum kit. However , I do feel sorry for the drums as she beats the life out of them.

Ah you found JUNNA. She's alsways good fun - and I like how she usually does something like or dresses up like the band she is covering. In this one where she stood and took a drink she was mimicking Sam Totman of DragonForce who did that in the official video. She has covered BABYMETAL's Doki Doki Morning and dressed up in BABYMETAL costume for that one. If I could heel/toe like she can I'd be a lot faster on track days.

@@OldMrB There was a girl rock band boom in the 2000s and a lot of girls wanted to be the next big thing. I still keeps going. As for why there is a lot of talent, I wouldn't say there is more than anywhere else, it's just that kids in Japan are encouraged to pick a lot of things, among them is music, which starts very early on in school, but a lot of kids continue to study music or at least one instrument, there's also after school clubs, which is a great meeting place for forming early band, connections and such. But if a lot of kids or teenagers learned to play and instrument (however bad) and have a bit of music theory - it's easier to find likely minded people when the interest really peeks in teenage years. I live in Europe for the past 10 years, and my kids really don't have any kind of music in school yet, they start at 12 years old (or 6th grade here) and have it until 9th grade, then it's not mandatory anymore. It's quite different here compared too Japan. I started music classes in school at 6 which was the 1st grade which lasted 9 years, then it wasn't mandatory anymore, but we had clubs. Forgot to mention, there's also nation wide school competitions and events which involves musics of all sorts, from classical, orchestras, marching bands to bands and solo artists etc.

She is Junna-squared, all due respect to Junna. She doesn't read music and learns by ear alone and has learned to play piano, bass guitar, keyboards and has won several Hit Like A Girl contests in LA. She also plays with the Samo Family Band with her mother (bass) and father (guitar) and her younger brother singing. Just a LOT of fun. You HAVE to check her our !
