The stock sports bar seems to be a problem, not certain if it is a proper roll bar ( ie prevents the passengers getting crushed in the event of a vehicle roll over) . The stock sports bar appears to be for aerodynamics (reduce drag) + aesthetics + provide shade for passengers at the back seats. with the sports bar installed they had to install some metal pieces on either side of the truck bed and also a cover at the front of the truck bed thus reducing the area of the cargo bed which reduces the cargo capacity of the truck.
