In the explicit version, he is making a point (and totally having fun with it). There are some Army that still sees him as a young kid. He has gotten annoyed a few times on VLive with Army telling him he shouldn't be drinking. He is announcing to the world that he's a grown man and can make his own choices. I'm totally here for it. It's a bop for sure. I love both versions.

The mv is a masterpiece, his vocals is so stunning, he looked so good. Han so hee's and Jungkook's acting was top tier.

Absolutely agree the smirk in his face singing in the coffin is the single MOsT Jungkook thing it’s perfect. His co-lead is perfect as she just looks so very done with him 😂😂😂. The song and MV are perfect. The explicit version caused major damage to the fandom. We have yet to recover, the only cure is to continue streaming the song.

He has the confidence of all the members. This is the grown up JK! He is beautfully talented.

My reaction when I first heard the explicit version was similar to yours, but after listening to it more times, I'm no longer shocked. He did so good in the interviews and live performances in the US and Great Britian. Love to hear him speak in English. As a main dancer for BTS, he's very confident on stage. Love his voice and his dancing. So proud of him. 💜💜

He discussed the decision at length on his latest live. He appreciates people might be shocked or even offended, but is almost 26 and has outgrown some aspects of the "maknae" image often ascribed to him. He sang the "mixed" version you describe in his slowed down rnb rendition recently (again a live).

Listening to the explicit version. I'm firmly on team Grown Jungkook can do whatever he wants. Drink, have sex, date, live the life of any balanced healthy adult. I hope this opens the door to other idols feeling like it's ok to not hide who they are. It's the foundation of what BTS has stood for.

Yeah this happens all the time with radio singles and album tracks. I think it works perfectly both ways and can reach all demos. It was a genius idea lol but I get how it can be a bit jarring especially from a member of BTS lol I just love that he has the freedom to do and make these artistic choices. It’s bold and beautiful.

I read somewhere that Bang PD suggested this song. When JK heard it, he loved it and wanted to sing this song. I honestly agree with everyone who said that this showcases that he's a grown man now and not because he says the F-word in the explicit version of the song. It showcases how as a young man how he wants to love a woman through all the trials and tribulations of life that they will go through. And that he will still be by her side loving her and will never leave her side no matter what.

He is just showing why he is called the "Bunny". He can basically do it every day of the week. And he is all growned up and more mature now. Been waiting for your reaction since day one.

I loved this interpretation: all the mess in in her brain/soul and he is with her, offering his way to support her, no matter her bad times. At the end, as she accepts him, the rain stops even if the storm still follows. You know? the "explicit" version doesn't shock me, maybe because he just use the f-word. He's not English native (like me) so the word has no the same strength as for natives I interpret it as "make love" not just s"x and;, can we be sincere? For me is the explicit word and the cute smile... like sir, one or the other? You cannot say that looking at me like that XD I didn't need the explicit version, as it's clear what lovin' in that context is (that or I've listened to a lot of 90s RnB XD), but I love that he's done it and as he said in his live yesterday "people always think of me as the maknae and it's up to me to change that view or not" and he's chosen to show he's (acc to him 28, but he's just 25 lol). I wish him a full week of nice loving lovemaking if possible. ^^

It really does show some brilliance though...just changing like 2 words literally changes up the entire song. Don't know whose idea it was, but kudos! I do prefer the clean version, i think it's cool he did the explicit one, but for me it just changes the vibe and meaning of the song too much. Obviously both versions are about phsyical/sexual intimacy, but the clean version is more sensual and actually has the focus on the intimate part. It can mean different things and can inocorporate all type of love - including physical, but not limited to that, it fits the mv better thinking of always being there for the person, you know? And for me "fucking" just has kind of an impersonal connotation, so it doesn't encompass all of that... but i still think it's awesome he did it and is breaking boundaries with it

Same, in my country “ Fucking” or the way it sounds when he sings it “Fuckin” is derogatory language to describe someone doing something they shouldn’t be doing or an insult as in that person is fuckin lazy as shit, fuckin asshole etc so I am listening & in favour only of the Clean Version sorry not sorry. Plus also in my country if someone was following you around after you said no or go away this is classified as stalking whether your in a relationship or not & you have the cops called on your arse or put up on a DV charge 🤷‍♀️

There's lots of different interpretations out there of for example him only being in her head, but even without them I don't think it's that problematic. Sure, in real life you shouldn't do this, but this isn't real life and it isn't even a real movie, it's just representative of a song where a guy is super in love with a person and wants them to be happy and be together with them a lot. And not liking the explicit version at all, of course is a matter of taste and what you're used to, as I said I also prefer the clean one, but I still don't hate the explicit one. I love that he's showing that he's a grown man now and can do what he wants :)

I wasn’t raised hearing that word. But as I said, I understand his need to be seen as an adult. I still think he is awesome. They were some of the kindest superstars I ever got to meet. My friend even got a high 5 from him. They were friendly and inviting. Younger people toss that word around like we did “damn” in my youth….which was a big deal! Besides. I personally didn't like the effing you part, because it sounded passive and a bit mysoginistic. It would ve sounded much better if he said : we'll be effing all night for example... I see it as you. I think the f-word was used too excessively. It feels forced. There are lots of sex songs that describe the actual act in better ways. The f-word is not sensual. But as a reminder or shocking moment once at the end of the song with a teasing grin maybe would have had a much better effect.
