He also introduced the song at the Times Square live performance and said "Army, please don't change." Also, I am not a "bro".

Yes, Jungkook said you have to listen to it top to bottom (lol) because it does follow a relationship. The first songs are peppy and then it gets sadder to a breakup. You need to watch his Live Times Square TSX too. All his promotions have been awesome.
