This mindset can be really damaging though. When artists get alot of hate this seperation usually is something that makes them survive the situation because they make themselves think that they don't hate them, they hate their persona.

The questions of the interviewer were extremely masterful - he was able to skilfully and respectfully guide JK into sharing crucial insight and posed questions that we Army have wanted to ask or didn't know we needed to ask. His name is Zane Lowe and he has done hundreds of great interviews over the years for BBC Radio 1 and Apple Music 😀

This was one of the most excellent interviews I’ve ever seen. The questions were thought provoking and Jungkook’s answers were articulate and informative. He continues to be polite and humble. I am so proud of his accomplishments. I miss seeing BTS as a group, and am so impressed with how outstanding they are as individuals. I’m a 73 year old grandmother, a retired teacher, and an avid ARMY of four years who will continue to follow and love them until I leave this Earth. 💜💜💜

I agree with you. I'm an 86-year-old retired lady and I love BTS. They're such amazing and talented men (I was going to say boys, but my family reminded me that they are grown up). They are so humble and down-to-earth. Jungkook shows so much respect, warmth and love to ARMY. Almost 4 years I became an ARMY, and the happiness they have given me is immeasurable. 💜💜

Cheers to you ladies! I love all the ARMY and love being part of this older ARMY brigade as an almost 64 year old.! I've been following BTS since the pandemic and they were such a ray of sunshine in a dark time and continue to shine their light as solo artists. As a global sensation, BTS embraces all ages and their humbleness and honor to the fans and the music is exactly what the world needs. Zane is one of my favorite interviewers. His thoughtfulness and respect and connection to the artist is unparalleled IMHO. And Jung Kook has come into his own starting with Seven and now with the release of Golden. It's an incredible time in his history and what a handsome, talented, thoughtful, beautiful , and humble soul! I LOVE the album and the focus on the many aspects of love he shares with ARMY. I am enjoying his solo time VERY MUCH and also looking forward to BTS reunion in 2025. We love you Jung Kook! 💜💜💜

Haha, yes, lovely interview! May I also add how wonderful it is to see Jungkook in his beautiful complexion? I found that rare as well! So often they whiten or brighten him. He truly is beautiful as is!❤

It's actually making me emotional just seeing... an interview with any of them where they're simply taken seriously, where there is actually research, where the time has been taken to actually look at the phenomenon of BTS and ARMY and see it with some kind of depth. It doesn't need to be overly reverent, just a basic level of respect and acknowledgement. Out of 100s of interviews they've done over the years there have only been a tiny amount that actually seemed to know BTS' music and their history, and to treat them as intelligent human beings, as professionals who know their own minds and are the architects of their own careers. It's also so rare to acknowledge ARMY as intelligent human beings, and to understand that BTS and ARMY are involved in a mature symbiotic conversation. Of course BTS themselves have always acknowledged that, but it's been completely missing from the media discourse. The gap between the 'media image' of BTS/ARMY vs the reality of BTS/ARMY has been painful and endlessly ironic to endure over the last decade. It's bittersweet that we need to celebrate just having a decent interview, but it really is rare and I appreciate it!

We are totally on the same wavelength and I loved how you said this. I appreciate and feel so appreciated to see the boys get the respect and professionalism that they deserve after being in the industry for so long and contributing so much. And i can't wait for when this media image of Bts and Army gets broken down and people can see the unique and amazing connection of Bts and Army because it's so unique and definitely one of the first, if not the first bond that seems to have depth and mean something even if it just seems like artist and fan its so much more.

Love how JK respects the other 6 members and is humble despite knowing he’s the best singer and is having great success as a solo artist. A lot of groups in history broke up because someone thought they were too good for their group. That’s not the case with JK. He doesn’t forget where he came from and is proud of BTS.

The fact that anyone would even think of him doing that is weird. Not as much as Jk but everyone in the group has been very successful in their own ways. They all literally grew up together. Why would he when literally all the members are superstars and are extremely talented. Each member shines in a certain way and together they're untouchable. There's no BTS without JK but there also is no JK without BTS and they all know that.

Interviews like these are rare. Each question was well chosen, interesting, and gave Jungkook room to answer in his own way and put thought into it as well. To me it felt like both were really comfortable and treated with respect throughout the conversation, which was really refreshing to see. Good job! Now I wish there was an interview like this from all the members.

Jungkook has been in the music industry for years now, so I'm sure he knows how to deal with interviews despite the nerves. This interview was more serious than what we're used to and I personally liked that. Joking in that situation might have made things a little awkward, especially when considering the language barrier. Though a smile could never hurt, you're right about that. Even without that, the interviewer never seemed unfriendly to me, maybe only a bit distant. Still, I appreciate a lot that he has obviously done his research about Jungkook as well as BTS as a group and has prepared a wide range of questions. I want the time to be over when all they've been asked about was their favorite type of pizza.

Actually, hasn't he interviewed BTS as a group at least once, ​@@elli_er. I thought I remembered him doing an interview with the whole group. I know I've seen him in a video on KZread. But maybe he ju@t made a video about his views & impressions of BTS. He's been a big fan of theirs for a while now.

We may call him the youngest baby..but this interview showed how grown up he has become...his thoughts are so mature and like always he speaks with such an insightful aura..all so honestly..I'm really proud of him💜

Thank you for this interview! It is refreshing to see Jungkook this way even if we know how nervous he gets when being interviewed that he’d rather perform. But this is a confirmation that even if he’s on top of his league right now he remains to be the humble, honest person that he was from the beginning. He never forgets his roots and always grateful to army and to BTS. Never accepting credit for himself but will always say without BTS and Army he will not be where he is right now. How can you not love him and would like to protect him. He deserves the love that he is getting right now and more. Thank you Apple Music!

I am beyond proud of Jungkook and beyond grateful to him for all the lovely feelings he makes me feel for all the joy that he brings in my life and the entire world I have been here for a long time I've watched grow over the years as a member of BTS and as Jeon Jungkook I have never been impressed by anyone in my life as much as I am with him he is really one of a kind a rare gem I love everything about him. Not only is he a super talented amazing artist but also an incredible human being. It is not just his talent that I admire but his genuine and humble personality how he manages to stay down to earth after all the huge achievements he has accomplished throughout his life and his kindness and respect towards everyone around him especially his fans ARMYS and his fellow BTS members and the staff and literally everyone he never discredit anyone he appreciates every little thing everyone does. He is just an all rounder he said that his favorite song from the album is Standing next to you it is mine too cause it shows how good of a performer he is how he can sing perfectly and dance sharply and expresse the song with his whole body putting more than a 100% in his work his dedication and discipline along with the passion he has for what he does is so impressive and truly inspiring. I'm forever gonna be grateful for every song every performance and every moment he has ever shared with us. I love him so much and I will always love him.

Can we appreciate how relaxed Jungkook is? Thank you for this interview. He’s treated like the grownup talented artist that he is.

I’d like to know how Zane feels about his interview with Jung Kook. With Jung Kook it’s what you see is what you get. Although he’s grown, he’s an adult, he’s still a kind, thoughtful, shy at times, and so respectful young guy. His love for us is such a special bond that I doubt will ever go away. The interview was very special and I hadn’t had and exposure to Zane or his work. I found him very interesting, insightful and respectfully kind. Thank you both Zane and Jung Kook! The change that has taken place in Junkook is impressive. He has matured a lot mentally and psychologically, although it must be admitted that he has always been sensible. The principles that now guide him in perceiving, feeling, valuing and reacting to problems, mistakes and other life situations determine his well-formed identity. Solving all problems on the fly, which is what he is currently guided by, allows him to achieve his goal, preserve friendships, eliminate obstacles and cut off his growing baggage of bad experiences. He is loyal to BTS and ARMY members, as he has proven time and again. JK you deserve exceptional recognition and may your personal happiness and professional success never leave you.

So emotional listening to our golden maknae talk, he’s grown up to be such a mature, emotionally intelligent and well spoken man. Zane Lowe is the best interviewer. He puts everyone he interviews at ease, and with his respectful and delicate approach he brings out the most sincere conversations. This was a great interview and I respect him so much. Jungkook is very special and a talent like him only comes around once in a lifetime.

How could anyone not love this artist and the fellow members of BTS. The humility, sincerity and pure talent is incredible. These guys worked their butts off back when the label had no funds or space, I'm so thankful for them. Such a thoughtful interview, thank you Zane! Kudos!

정국이는 연습생때도 지각 한번을 한적이 없을 정도로 그때도 열심이었다고 해요. 월마다 테스트 해서 1등을 해서 미국에 춤도 배우러 가고 했었죠. 정국이는 넘 자신에게 엄격하고 겸손해서 데뷔초 정국 최애 입장에서는 자신을 너무 낮추는게 속상도 했더랬어요. 이제보면 정국이가 그렇게 겸손하고 타고난 재능에도 노력하며 엄격했기에 지금의 멋진 최고의 글로벌 탑 가수 솔로로 도 멋진 정국이가 된거 같아요. 카타르때 정국의 첫 솔로무대 증명 했잖아요. 앞으로가 더욱 더 기대되고 20대 남자 자이언트 글로벌 가수로 댄스 노래 외모 유머있고 매력 넘치는 가수는 정국밖에 현재 없을듯

I cried a lot as I watched this Zane. So many tears. Of joy and of..bittersweetness. Thank you for such a thoughtful conversation with our Jungkook, our Golden Maknae. BTS and Jungkook have brought me through so much, amazingly difficult times.. they mean so much to me. I’m a debut ARMY; going on 11 years! It’s amazing to see Jungkook conversing with you like this, for Apple Music (my digital platform of choice haha). I’m so proud of you Jungkook, my forever artist. This was one of the best interviews by a western journalist I've seen. He is obviously a true fan of music, and was so respectful of JK, JK's music and growth as an individual, and of BTS's bond and their impact on the world. I love hearing BTS members getting to answer intelligent, insightful questions about their work, their processes, and ARMY's role. It's a rare treat! 💜

It was really a great interview! Zane's deep understanding about how important the past, present and future about for BTS and Jungkook and their music is just incredible! Jungkook looked very comfortable and enjoy the interview as well as it could be heard from his answers. I think this is the first time I heard about the dynamic of BTS and ARMY in an enlightening manner (not just "oh ARMY is a fandom" blablabla), and it makes me feel proud, even though I'm here as one of the pandemic ARMY babies. So, thank you for this!

Thank you so much. Being an Army for 8 years, this is the most insightful interview I've ever watched. Also as a JK-bias for 8 years, I was basically seeing him grow up to be a mature, talented, confident, sincere man, but I never had a chance to hear him vocalize out his perspective in such thoughtful way like this. So thanks again for this amazing interview. May JK achieve all the best things in the world with ARMY, whom he put above all people in his life.

Wonderful interview! I’ve always said it’s a little sad that BTS was just a little before their time even though they are huge worldwide! There talents are unmatched any where and they are the best performers of all time! Jungkook has came out of the protective comfort of the group as well as all the others with their solo albums, and he stretching his wings and really embracing being a solo artist. It’s kind of bitter sweet though, being a giant fan and an older fan, I don’t want him to stray too far, and as a grandmother I want him stay by his brothers so they will protect him always because I worry for him as if he is one of my own ♥️ But as a proud fan I am so happy for him and I’m totally enjoying his success! If I could talk to him I would like to give him some grandmotherly advice for the future….the most beautiful star doesn’t always need to be seen, you can shine all by yourself even if the world doesn’t see you, you’ll still be the most beautiful star. I hope he will understand what I am saying as he ages. You are golden, you are magical and please take care of yourself always 💜

JK seemed very comfortable and honest and I couldnt help but see him smile so much when he spoke about ARMY, he loves, loves ARMY, truly loves ARMY.💜 and he NEVER leaves his 6 brothers out of any conversation, true love, true family.
