June Harvesting

Oh boy, did I have some big beets! I didn't weight them individually, I probably should have. I could believe I had over 26 pounds. I love it when I can harvest a whole crop and then get busy and plant some other crop to get more food from the same space in my garden. I think I will try some green beans in the front beds. I will definitely plant some more lettuce as well.
Thanks so much for coming along and I hope your gardens are doing well. I figure not every vegetable I grow is going to do great but I am thankful for all I can harvest.
Here is what I harvested last year...

Those sweetheart and peach tomatoes all look so yummy and fun to grow, I'll have to look for seeds for those. I pulled all my zucchini a couple weeks ago, and just re-planted another round, as well as more peppers, pumpkins and butternut. Hopefully I'll have better luck on round two with them. Love seeing your chickens getting their treats.

The sweethearts are good. I can’t wait to taste the peach. They are almost ripe. 😁 I decided it is just going to be a lean squash year. I know I can get some at the produce auction if I need them. Oh they love getting their treats for sure! 😜 Good to hear from you! ❤️

Just remember that lessons learned are also a huge forever type of harvest but they don't weigh anything. LOL

Wow! Those golden beets look amazing! I've heard they have a sweeter, not quite as earthy flavor than the red beets. Will definitely give them a try! May I ask where you got the seeds from? When I visited our daughter, she made me a wonderful roasted beets meal which she served with wild rice and a Romanesco sauce; it was absolutely delicious!
