June Documentary - Official 2024 Trailer

Музыка

A new documentary titled June, which focuses on the life and career of June Carter Cash, is set to premiere 16th January 2024 exclusively on Paramount+.
As a five-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, comedian, musician, actor and author, Carter Cash opened for Elvis, appeared onscreen with Robert Duvall and Jane Seymour and co-wrote one of the most recognizable country songs of all time, “Ring of Fire.” Perhaps at times overshadowed by her iconic husband Johnny Cash, the film lets her talent take center stage.
Featuring rare and never-before-seen archival material revealing the extraordinary life’s work of Carter Cash and her career, paired alongside one-of-a-kind interviews with the woman herself, the film also includes sit-down moments with her family, admirers and friends, including Dolly Parton, Reese Witherspoon and Willie Nelson, among others.

June was probably the most beautiful woman on Tv in the mid 1950's.

There’s a song I heard/saw the Carter sisters and mother Maybelle perform on the country music documentary by Ken Burns called Sweet Talkin Man. kzread.info/dash/bejne/YpOcw7xtpdi9pNI.htmlsi=NMgRleEyuozpLMFc I can’t seem to find that on Spotify or Apple Music/iTunes. I’ve downloaded it to my KZread downloads 😬 but do you know if there’s any way it can be found elsewhere ?

I love June! Is it true that June was teased by her sisters during the childhood because they thought June had just little talent? I think, John Carter Cash said this in an interview but I'm not sure.

Yes as Helen and Anita were talented with music and singing but June was not as good but her talent was something different each sister had their own amazing different talent that made the group perfect and add in mother maybelle and it really was something special

When the original Carter Family was broadcasting from XERA, Anita was there with Maybelle. I believe she was 4 years old. June and Helen stayed in Maces Springs with relatives. Before too long, Anita was heard singing on the air with her mother. The audience really responded to this and the station manager asked Maybelle if she had any other children who could sing. Her laughing reply was “Yes, I have one (referring to Helen), but I’m not sure about the other (June).”

June didn't worry about it. As an adult, she knew she made her contribution to the group. Helen told me once that when the 4 (CS&MM) sang together, it always was better if she could stand on one side of June, and Anita could stand on the other side. Then they could keep June on pitch better with their voices.@@Daria-qx9uy
