Would you recommend reading The Shadows Between Us before starting the Fairyloot book or is The Darkness. Between Us fine on its own? Thank you in advance!

@@elenasampson9903 I'd have to read the sequel to have a more certain opinion. I'd say if you're interested in The Shadows Between Us as well then read it first. If it doesn't interest you at all then you could easily just skip it to this one.

Mine was in the wrong packaging, too. I guess they ordered too many or printed the wrong thing, but either way I love that they just used them anyways! Much less wasted paper that way.

I heard another youtuber say recently "Take purple away from Fairyloot" and after seeing this stack...yeah, I agree, haha. "The God and the Gumiho" cover is definitely stunning though, and my favorite edition in the stack.

I love food bag clips in subscription boxes!!! That Goddess of the River edition is so pretty!!!! AHHH OF JADE AND DRAGONS I LOVE THAT EDITION! The Shadows between Us was actually one of my favorite books of the year I read it but I wasn't planning on reading the next one and was not expecting it to be June's pick but now I suppose I'll be reading it lol.

I recommend reading a book written in the style of Agatha Christie Murder at Glosford Hall By Charlotte Wells. A little-known author, but the book is written according to all the canons of the golden traditional detective story

I actually really enjoyed nectar of the wicked. I read it before I knew it would be in the FairyLoot boxes. I read book 2 right after finishing book 1.

Tried reading the shatter me series recently and honestly it was so hard to get into I ended up dnfing it .. think your right I would of enjoyed it when I was younger (I’m 30 now) and it was big at that time

The cover character art on the Fairyloot Romantasy reminds me so strongly of hairspray ads from 80s magazines, I can't see anything else 😂. I'm trying to choose which subscription/waitlist to join, and it's taking me a while because I'm so indecisive. Though I like the look of the stuff in Illumicrate, I'm not sure about a mix of YA and Adult books - my personal YA era ended in the early 2000s, and the idea of reading YA romance/romantasy is not something I'd be into, though there are definitely some kickass adventure-focused YA scifi and fantasy series out there that I have enjoyed. Maybe I need to go back through the past year and count up how many books I would have been into from each subscription.
