I adore June Anderson’s voice, and singing.

WHAT A LUCIA CAST! 👍👍 I saw her I PURITANI in San Francisco and yes it was truly her BEST role, simply SUBLIME! My favorite Anderson anecdote -- One night, Anderson got a big ovation after her scena. During the long applause, she whispered to someone, "I'm glad my career is going so well, because my personal life is a DISASTER!" With that, she quickly walked offstage! 😂

Je me souviens de la première répétition de Lucia à l’opéra de Paris Bastille. Maître Chung a commencé la répétition avec orchestre par la scène de la folie. June Anderson a chanté sans interruption pendant 20 minutes. A la fin de son air, les artistes du chœur l’on applaudie pendant 5 minutes. Un triomphe et une performance, c’était à 10 heures du matin. Avec Roberto Alagna, une distribution magnifique. Un de mes plus forts moments artistiques 💙🤍❤️

Her voice is so reminiscent of Sutherland’s, minus the frumpiness
