Good to see the flower boxes. I remember Carmine painting on them. That's when he was tickled and talking about the tripping stick. 🤣

Joe, you are looking good!! Got a great bounce in your step. So you must be feeling pretty good and that is great! Flowers were beautiful and you can't beat the weather, are you getting out with Bullseye for evening walks? My best to you.

I'm wondering, since there was a lot of spring in some of your cuts what those boards will do after drying, maybe marking those particular ones for future inspection of how springing boards look after they dry...?

How do you decide how far down you will make your first and second cut. It’s kind of easy for my to see the third and fourth.

I move the saw down until the blade is cutting the cant size. In this case 8 inches. Which was about 2 inches down.

Looking good Joe. About 8 logs into my sawmill experience! I am cutting some oak boards at 3/4 " to use for paneling. Have you noticed any difference drying 3/4 vs 1"? Are they more prone to warping?
@josaljo1

No real difference, just keep weight on them if you need them straight and watch if they bend, move or bow while cutting so you can turn the log if you need to.
