I know you love the Nashville 1000. Is that the original speaker? Woul you care to share your settings? I bought a !000 a few years back and honestly not excited by its tone. I have several steels with different pickups so that's not the issue. I prefer the Lawrence 705 that I have in a Justice Judge SD10 4X5 and a GFI SD10 4X5. I use Goodrich L120 volume pedal and the Sarno Black box in front of the amp. I replaced the 1000 reverb tank too. It has the big bottom end but I'm not happy with the mids no matter what I do with the sweep and mid knobs.

I can't speak for Jerry but I don't know how many amps I went through. If I could bring one back I wish I never sold a Peavey LTD. I'm a retired guy who only plays at home. I went through Peavey's, Fender's, Tone Master etc., etc.. and various speakers. But anyway, after so many years of buying and trying amps, what works best for me and I like it a lot is a little 30 watt Roland Blues Cube Hot with the power attenuator set at either 0.5 or 5 watts. And the Master on the amp almost maxed and volume at 1.5. To me that sounds really good at low volume for my small condo. I also use a Keely Caverns Delay / Reverb pedal. My Guitar is a Mullen G2 with a single coil pickup. Good Luck on your Steelin Journey!!
