Being a grandmother brings pre joy! I lost my 4 year old boy Jacob suddenly in an accident in our home. It’s been 33 years: Jake’s little brother was 2 years old when he died. Jordan now is in his mid 30’s - he had a baby a couple months ago and gave his son his brother’s first name for his baby’s middle name. It feels so wonderful that he chose to honor his brother this way. I’m so happy for you to have this sweet baby coming in to your life! We think we love our children- but the love we feel for our grandchildren - there are no words!

I never thought I could ever love someone else's child as much as my own...until I became a grandmother. It's a different kind of love, but just as strong. The best part is you can love them and not worry about the discipline part. And when you get tired, you can send them home! LOL! Seriously, though, it's the best feeling in the world. Congrats!

Congratulations. I totally understand your joy. We currently have 11 grandsons and 8 grand daughters. I was just as excited with the 19th that I was with the 1st. It never gets old. Be prepared to lose a piece of your heart ....they each have mine and it is an unsurpassable joy

The love you feel for a grandchild is not even something that can be put into words. It is just indescribable. My best advice is to spend as much time as you can with him and set little traditions that you do together. For instance, my grandson and I will sit and eat ice cream and look out the window when it’s raining just a little thing but that something that we both enjoy and look forward to, also when he was little I would take him to the grocery store and go up and down the produce aisles and touch and smell and name all of the fruits and vegetables. He’s 11 now but he still remembers and we talk about how he learned all the vegetables and fruits , silly little things that make a lasting impression. You will be a wonderful Mimi! ❤️ My grandson’s middle name is Michael as well. ❤️

I have ADHD too, and it really is a cycle of letting the clutter pile up and then do a big clean, and then you make promises to yourself, and then it happens again and again again. For me, I just have to do things differently than everyone else and give yourself grace. Just accept its going to be a part of your life and that makes it easier 😌

I am the same way with my house. I have piles everywhere, and I do feel better when it’s clean. But then when I’m looking at the piles it’s overwhelming.😂. You are not alone.

This is the first time I have seen anyone use lined paper in a Happy Planner (or any other planner or journal)! Getting lines for lists, notes, etc. in my spreads is one of my biggest challenges! I've used my happy planner stencils to draw them in, but do not like that look, (unless I do that on top of a sticker lol!). I'm running out of stickers with lines, bullet points, dot lines, etc., AND blank ones I can add lines to, so your method is a game changer for me!

We have so much in common with our life experiences and trauma. I cried when you did...for similar reasons. I lost my daughter; I'm a grandma who goes by Mimi; I'm in travel status as of late as well. Drink water 1st thing in the morning. Juice your fruit to enjoy staying hydrated during the day. My fave is watermelon 🍉 strawberry 🍓 and 🍋 with a sprig of mint. I make it by the pitcher.

Like you, I am living on my own for the first time in my life and learning how to navigate everything by myself after losing my daughter and my husband. It is an adjustment to say the least.
