JUMPING LESSONS GALORE (4 ponies)
Welcome back, it's another training video for you today!
My final event of the season is just around the corner, which meant Jammy and I needed to jump some bigger fences. I also took my young horse Winnie to have a shared lesson with Han... and there may be another pony that pops up at the end!

A trainer that can dissect what they’re saying so it makes sense to everyone is a special kind of trainer , she can really help you Meg physically and mentally. That’s special ❤
"Don't faff about it!" Best advice EVER for Megan! 🙂

I loved that comment by Emily but wasn't sure how to spell faff... not a part of the American vocabulary but it should be!

@@rmfan2092 LOL. I'm American as well, but read enough British books and watch enough British TV to be pretty up on the lingo LOL!
Emily is so good for you, reminding you how Jam can do it. You both made it look so simple and relaxed when you were not looking for the stride and just thinking of the rhythm. And it was so obvious how Jam changed in herself when you pulled. You are working so hard to improve and care so much about your ponies. And more Emily in videos please 🙏
Emily is brilliant Meg and really looks like she is who you need on the ground with you! You grew through the session and Emily’s tough love has me in stitches, she’s fab 😂😂😂
Just pausing halfway through to say Jammy is looking incredible, Meg. Her walk is so elastic and long compared to how she was before and riding her forward into the fences she (and you) look fantastic. I hope you felt amazing watching this back as I think she’s the best she’s ever been, and her dressage at Frickley was beautiful.
EMILY IS INSANELY GOOD FOR MEG!! The change in your riding Meg is insane how you saw forward strides all of a sudden and just looked so confident! Please keep her as a part of your team,

Agree 100%!
What a treat to see Han ride ! You ride beautifully Han. Love your soft hands.. Meg. All you lack is enough confidence. I feel you there 🥴.You have all the talent in the world and certainly put the time, effort and ❤️ in. Cheers n ❤️ from 🇨🇦
I love how Emily's teaching style is definitely a sliding scale based on what the horse/rider combo is. I also love seeing Han be able to take a pony out and get some confidence and experience. I've been following her journey with Affie and it's so hard when it's one thing after another.
So nice to see Han in the vlogs
Winnie has some serious power in that trot jump… very exciting 🤩 lovely to see han doing a wonderful job too! ❤
We all need an Emily in our lives telling us to chill out... she has to be such a great confidence booster for jumping.
“Absolute weapon” is such a good description of Holly! What a fun pony.
Em is pure gold, lol! Fantastic to see Jammy looking so amazing and little Winnie getting so bold!! Love her. Good luck at the 100, btw, HAVE FUN and enjoy yourself!!!

Thank you!! X
Yay brilliant lesson! I've only watched the first one so far but love what Emily is saying. I teach show hunter (like the American hunter jumpers) and we always drill in RHYTHM. Letting Jammy go forward and really take you to the fence - she looks super. Winnie is doing well too! I like Emily telling you to release with the hand, which is hard on a young horse but also helps give them confidence to jump across not just up (the legacy of riding Welshies - I found it hard on my young Welsh Cob too because he wanted to go up and then across and I was just hanging on for dear life - and he wasn't anywhere near as extreme as Bear!) I always found that being told "shoulders up/shoulders back" made me too tense in my arms, but one coach told me "lift your ribcage" and that works really well for me. Everyone's different but thought I'd mention it in case it works for anyone reading this :)
Winnie is gonna be wicked ❤
Em is a good trainer, she talks so much sense. Holly is beautiful and a lovely mover. it was nice to see Han, and her pony was so cute. Jam and Winnie did so well. Winnie is going to do good things I think.
What a tonic. This girl is exactly what you need. A very different approach to give you a bit more room. Blissful to listen to her work with you. Fab.
Great instructor telling how it is. And a great scense of humor. My take away is Meg having to put more confidence in her ponies and as Em said, don't interfere. You are an excellent rider Meg, producing beautiful horses, just need to tell that brain to let go. Best wishes from Beautiful British Columbia 🇨🇦
Joining the Emily fan club for sure. She's an excellent trainer, who seems to really get you; awesome! You and Jam are so impressive these days. Fun lesson to watch. I think Winnie's really something special and I think she's going to have an incredible jump and a bold attitude (So exciting!!!). In my honest opinion, I think that lesson on Winnie would have had a higher difficulty degree than an actual event on Jam. Trotting those fences on a green horse with an athletic jump like that is SO HARD, especially with the expressions of exuberance on landing! And you did so well, going with her, being kind to her mouth and staying secure the whole time. Well done!
A very good tip I can give, after owning a double thick coated, hairy piebald cob for 19 years, is during hot days like these, give your horse a light bath (only using a small amount of soap just to get past any grease) which will allow water to get down to the skin, and only use cold water, and make sure when you rinse the water turns cool (showing the horse has a lowered temp). Do this before riding, it'll cool your horse down, but don't let them dry completely! Only squeegee excess water off, and leave them soggy. By the time the heat has fully evaporated the water from the horse as you're riding, their internal core temperature remains lower for longer, meaning they don't overheat, and suffer from heat exhaustion. It's basically a life changer and helps the horse out immensely.
Awww Holly has such a beautiful expressive trot ❤ Winnie did so well brave girl xxx
i love her laid back no nonsense teaching approach, you all did fabulously
I love Winnie ❤she's such a nice pony and a lovely mover.

I’m really excited about her!
Awesome vlog. Emily is a fantastic trainer - I love her down to earth approach. She is just what you need Meg. Both your ponies were fabulous. Winnie is progressing so well. Meg, you are an inspiration. A car accident changed my life, I can empathise with PTSD & the knock of confidence that it can entail. No one can tell you what to feel, or what not to feel. But you do have an incredible support system - Pete, Hobbit & other family members & your trainers etc... Look how far you have come - you handled Winnie beautifully. Please take courage from all your achievements - I am in awe of you. Keep going, enjoy everything, live in the moment & just be your own wonderful self. Much love🤗
A very enjoyable watch; Emily seems like a great instructor. I like her no nonsense but fun style!
The baby lesson was the cutest thing ever! ❤
Jam did amazing, and Winnie is showing so much scope already!! She's going to go far with you!! And Holly will shine in the Dressage ring with her movement! Well done, you!! So chuffed the lessons went so well with Em. Your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦

@@elphick.event.ponies I agree. A few shows next year will do her in good stead. Again, she shows so much promise!! And learns very quickly on where to put her feet!! I was quite impressed with her lesson with Em!! Your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦
That little grey Han was on was just the sweetest wee doll. This trainer is amazing!

Totally agree. Han rode beautifully and so suited Holly 🤗
The lesson with Jam was so fun to watch, your confidence seems to be growing steadily and I love how you and Jam can FLY through a course!
Meg: "it was 29 yesterday won't be quite that hot today hopefully." my dumb brain before I realized: OMG where's her jacket?!?! 😅😂🥶
not even half way in - please tell me you have a slow motion of that first jump over the pink one. jam just…. pinged over it! 😂 epic!
Great lesson with ‘Em, ponies and riders jumping beautifully. Keep letting her help you Meg!
Good ride Meg!! the girls look fantastic and Winnie is coming along so well!! can't wait to see her at a real show!!
This lady teaching you is very similar to my own instructor 😂😂. Mine always says I’ve done well and always makes sure I’m okay, but also pushes me because she knows I can do it.
Love Emily! We need more of her with her ability to get you through the “faffing” ❤❤ Awesome at building confidence!
Lovely video filled with helpful pointers! Thank you! ❤
Wonderful video, love watching Han and her adorable pony, they have both come along way together, You both rode amazingly well, ponies are all fantastic 😊
That was very good to see you out at a new are venue ,AND you all seemed to have anazing fun .

You and Jam looking like pros out here! What a great lesson, you looked incredible!
Ooh. Just finished the ponies. Will watch when I get home with a cuppa 😊
Aww this was fab to watch! Jam is so talented & so is Winnie !! She’s deffo inherited jammy’s jump & love for it too 🙌🏻 . Nice to see lil hanny in the vlogs- think she’d suit a welsh pony 😋x
Emily is an awesome trainer, so positive and had me in stitches! Fantastic riding Meg.
You did so well Meg and so did Han, how lovely you can both have a lesson together ☺️ Really wish I Iived closer so I could have an Emily lesson! I think it’s easy to forget that Emily’s probably not used to being on camera, especially with the reach of your channel now which I’m sure can be a bit daunting but she’s great and it was such a super lesson so good for her and well done to you 😊
Love Emily. Brilliant teaching 🎉
Ah, so happy to enjoy another video, its my birthday tomorrow and this is the best gift :) Thank you Meg for being so amazing and sharing your adventures, you have no idea how much it helps! xxxx

I am just rewatching this video and noticed how ADORABLE Holly is!!😆 She honestly has such a cute trot and seems like a little dressage pony.😍 (Also her canter is just adorable!)❤
Jam is looking incredible 😍 and the baby ponies were fab ❤
I had a stallion that I didn't really have the confidence to ride and then I started to jump with him and then I jumped him with a hacamore and started bareback riding with him . Point is one thing lead on to another thing. Absolutely love your videos Meg ❤🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗Lovely horses 🐎 ❤️
22:12 this is sooo me. Saying sorry while mid jump 😂
Meg, i could tell you were barely even pulling and their was a big difference in your riding! I'm serious this was amazing!!
Go Greys!! But i love all your horses meg and you alll looked amazing!!! i love watching these videos and i cant wait to see how you do at Badders 2024!!!👏👏❤❤

Em is an amazing coach would just be perfect for my daughter but too far away 😢!! Also love a vlog with Hannah!! She’s amazing and lovely to see her ride more in your videos. Well done to you all!! Fab team 😍 xx
I love Emily's tough love
I really enjoyed watching this. I learned a lot just from watching you. I can’t ride for awhile (having a baby in December!) so this was fantastic. Idk what your plans are but I think you should lesson with this trainer more often. You guys get along so well. Also… the summer has been brutal the last couple weeks here (NY USA) too. Heat index was 103° yesterday 😭
Nicely done meg!!!!! ❤
I love this original style old school blogs, even over the mr Iceland and Spain style ones
I literally love her jumping vids!
Great video Meg. Great riding Hannah.
Omg y’all in the beginning I’ve been learning and watching a show about nine eleven so I’m like “take shelter Meg hurry! Wait why isn’t anyone freaking out?? Ohhh right heh” 😂😂😂

Wow Meg your seat is impeccable! You’re the perfect jockey for whinny
Love the jumping vlogs so much!!!! I Absolutely love winnie so much, definitely one of my fav of your ponies ❤
It's great seeing Han! But you def need an extra mic! And Han SHOULD buy that pony. She looks fab on her.
Love Em!!
I was drooling over that unstarted Cob you bought back when. But if you needed help doing it, there's not an iceberg's chance in hell i could do it.
Great session for all and Holly is perfect size for Han x
The pony holly at the end looks exactly the same as my new mare 😊 had to do a double take ❤❤ she is a very pretty pony
What an awesome video!!
Thanks Meg!
Emily is exactly what youve needed. A breath of fresh air.
Looking forward to seeing you in action on Sunday ❤
Love Emily, need to see more of her!!
What a flashy trot Holly has going. She would make a pretty dressage pony. What a fun day out with everyone.
OH my gosh, Han's pony was soo friggin adorable!!
You guys did brilliant! Emily I would love to have lessons with you!
Winnie is going to make an amazing event horse 😁
Emily is badass!! More of her, thank you very much. ❤
Love thisss❤
I live your videos so much I wish I could be like you❤
We really have had such a massive heatwave! It went from 25c to 30-32!! Yuck! Can’t imagine riding in that heat 😵💫 Stay safe and hydrated!❤❤
Meg your nust amazing your the est rider you have worked so hard
Oh how I love Emily for you..don't faff meg 😂😂😂🥰
Winnie looks soooo smart now 😍😍
Jam is looking amazing, the best I've ever seen her, especially her topline is so strong now and is she more open in the neck. Would lunging Winnie over jumps like you did for Dora not be a nice idea? I feel like it might help her develop her bascule and gain confidence in determining the ideal take off point
Best lesson ever.
Han's pony is so cute and small I love it lol
Emily is a great trainer Meg you and Hannah rode really well it was fun to watch I think Emily is good for you Meg mentally, Han should have more lessons with Emily too she’ll turn her into a confident rider.tfs😎🏇😎
GOOD LUCK this weekend!!!
her knees! Holly's knees that is - is she part Hackney? fab!
Han looks fabulous on Holly(-: Marion 🎉
Han and Holly look perfect together!!
