Don't plan on buying either one of these, I have a T16 I was totally happy with until switches suddenly didn't work. Now that I have the updated ribbon cables (THANKS for the very fast shipping), I'm happy again.

In terms of practical application, can any of these transmitters work with Spektrum receivers? How about OrangeRX? If not, which RXs do you recommend for, say, an 8 channel fixed wing setup? Maybe none of them would be appropriate, I dont know. I like the look of them, but I'm not sure if they're more specific to rotary aircraft, etc.

What about the sd card issue? I bought the pro and a few months later, it will not read the micro sd card.

So can you possibly install a 2.4 external antenna on regular and Pro? With that slide on connector on the Regular or Pro what would we buy to do that?

Yep, on the T18 and T18 Pro, a switch (either a physical switch, or software switch) should be added that would allow using (a) an external 900 MHz antenna when appropriate, and (b) an external 2.4 GHz antenna when appropriate .

so does the T18 Lite come with a carbon faceplate? the specs says its a black faceplate but I saw numerous reports that the Lite version comes with the carbon faceplate too.

@@graysonhobby This is disappointing news. My admittedly subjective opinion is that the BLACK faceplate looks much classier than the faux "carbon" faceplate. Ideally, a BLACK faceplate would be available for ALL Jumper models.

I have the T16 and had to replace the ribbon cables, rotary switch, and LCD screen. I also added the charging capability and hall gimbals. I would be afraid to buy any of these due to the poor build quality of my T16.

the only issue for the T16 - Some had issues with the ribbon cables which Jumper replaced free of charge- Its a mute point with the T18 as it has no ribbon cables.

Those backlit switches are not necessary and could be a distraction at night. I’d be for the basic version and just put a crossfire on the back, but I’m not getting any of them, I’ve got the radiomaster tx16s.

Reading reviews saying this has scroll wheel issues. Which never fixed from T16.

I hope to buy a Jumper T18 (with JP5IN1, internal 2.4Ghz antenna, Hall gimbals, zipper carry case, etc), but with a BLACK faceplate (not a faux “carbon” faceplate). Even though the faux “carbon” faceplate is likely intended to be a premium upgrade compared to the BLACK faceplate that comes standard with the cheaper Jumper T18 Lite, in my opinion, the BLACK faceplate looks classier. But I want all the other goodies (JP5IN1, internal 2.4Ghz antenna, Hall gimbals, zipper carry case, etc) that come with the Jumper T18. So I hope that a version of the Jumper T18 that ships with a BLACK faceplate will be available, someday. :) Or if you could at least offer a BLACK faceplate (sold separately, at a reasonable price) to replace the faux “carbon” faceplate that ships with the Jumper T18, that would be an acceptable (but not preferable) solution.

I spent tons of bucks on Rx's, TX's (DX9) multiple aircraft etc for many years...do not get to fly as often as I use to even in a private field just over the way and with the FAA's threat to end the hobby as we know it, who knows IF we will even have a hobby in the near future So, I moved to micro quads and fly mostly in my yard, and I use the original Jumper T8SG ( Black and silver one ) Unless this TX stops working, not looking to purchase a fancier TX If I need another one I am just going with the cheapest Jumper they have, hope you guys will carry it( you have in the past )

Wil and Basil, maybe it's time for you guys to start designing and fabricating frames?! It would Definitely win your fans back and maybe attract some more peps.

My Radiomaster TX-16s rocked for hardware and build quality. Open-TX though is a royal b1tch to set up. Plan to put in quite a few weeks learning Open-TX if you've never programmed a radio or used Open-TX before... you'll have to watch a dozen videos on KZread to figure it out. Basically, you're getting a box of Legos and have to configure the dream radio you want out of it. Mine is tricked out but it was a long and not intuitive road to get there. I would of never done it without KZread videos on setting it up. I like that Jumper finally came out with a matte black radio of their own. I had to have an all matte black radio. air-war.org

Where the hell is radiomaster tx16s review? Are u really a fan of jumper or sponsored by jumper? Lol.. Anyway alot of issue t18 has... like sd card error etc...

Can you address the scroll wheel issue ?

For the price differences why do they even manufacture it. It’s stupid business they are making products that compete against themselves. That’s what cost GoPro’s huge financial losses prior to there dropping of the Session design. The session was costing them hero sales.

It’s the same for whoops makers that’ll put out say a 65mm and 85mm. Dropping the 65 buyers will buy the 85 and more profit due the higher sale price of larger unit plus savings in never having to put Rnd into the 65. There’s a lot of poor business in this hobby. Flight One’s blind followers for instance. They put out some of most unreliable products. They’ve had the most interactions of their FCs over past three years. If somethings not broken it usually doesn’t get changed..

Radiomaster has blown jumper away. Do yourself a favor and ditch jumper for radiomaster distribution.
