    I feel like I should already know this, but if I've configured Acro and Loiter to be assigned 2 channels(with separate switches) in MissionPlanner>Config (RC6_OPTION-52, RC12_OPTION-56) can I also have Acro and Loiter present in the 6POS? This is how I initially set it up, just so I could have a physical switch at my fingertips as well. When I'm flying, it only will stay in Acro generally. I've checked it fully powered up and connected to MissionPlanner and the 6POS is functioning correctly and the PWM numbers are correct for all 6 modes. I"m guessing you can't have the same channel in two places, is the issue.

    A question if I may... Suppose I would like to protect one of the modes by another switch, for example I'd like to set mode 4 as "Auto mode" but since this is a risky mode i would like it to engage only if in addition to pressing button 4 I'll flip switch SD. Is there a way of doing that? Logical switches maybe?

    Hey Lee, do you have any experience with a Frsky Tandem X20S? I got this radio, it's a beauty by the way. Working on a quad. So i kind of have a similar setup, this transmitter has 6 buttons on it but i don't think they act as a 6 position switch. I couldn't find how to assign normal radio commands to them, would like my six modes to be those six button. I did get 6 modes working on 2 switch, as per other videos, but the problem is it seems to hit the middle mode for a second, before it adds the offsets to then kick to the offsetted mode. This resulted in me briefly going into stabilized mode from alt hold, throttle was a little high, craft climbed like a rocket right into a tree, broke three props in one go. I am okay with the 2 switch setup, if i could get rid of it hitting the interim mode while switching. This radio does have a couple settings not mentioned in the OpenTX videos. Any help would be appreciated, and while i'm at it, if i get an answer, is it possible to pass GPS info from a FrSky GPS V2 to a Orange Cube? I ordered a 'here 3' but they are majorly backordered. I got the yapuu telem cable connected, though i also don't see what seems like any telem coming to the radio either, so possible i haven't set it up correctly. I may need the script running to see anything on the radio side, and they haven't written the script for it yet, if they ever will. Little disappointed here. I thought at least the sensor outputs would come through. I have zero experience with OpenTX, this is my first 'real' radio, first quad. Jumped in head first as you can see!!!

    Which are better make radios taranis or jumper? And what is the major difference between those two brands

  • @pawanv86

    @pawanv86

    5 жыл бұрын

    I'd say that FrSky is a very well tested brand in the RC community. That being said, Jumper is relatively new and hasn't undergone extensive testing. Though many positive reviews have come across about it, I'd make a decision based on if you want a radio that can actually be programmed to its core or if you want an easy to use radio and don't care much about programming. I'm not sure about the range on Jumper and how well it handles interference and all of that, but FrSky's protocol is definitely one of the best.

    Thank you for preparing this video. Not many people address to the use of Jumper with Ardupilot. I set up the 6 modes accordingly, but found out the pwm corresponding to the 6 buttons on Jumper T16 ranges from 1101 pwm to 1446 pwm only, while the 6 flight modes dictated in Ardupilot Mission Planner ranges from 0 pwm to 1750+ pwm. This means I can only reach 3 modes, while modes corresponding to 0-1100 pwm is inaccessible. I have changed the curve to the maximum of 17 points. This does not help. Any suggestion ?

    @@Painless360 Thanks for reply. Today, I watched your video again. I re-calibrated the Jumper T16 by pressing each of the 6P buttons, along with sticks and other switches, but that still did not extend the range beyond ~1400 pwm. I edited the curve with all possible values, changed weight to -100% in MIXES, put some values in offset, all these did not help. Any clue ?
