Thought I’d share some insight into the Eugen Enin Remix edit and the mysterious Sam Croft cameo. The goal of the edit was to give some mainstream attention to the sport. Thats why its very fast paced and just highlights. I also cut many tricks short to keep up the tempo and energy, much like a movie trailer would do. I think most skating sections have too many fillers to keep up the Wow-factor and the attention span of the mainstream public. As for the Sam Croft cameo: I needed a big slam to stand out and since Eugen rarely have any big slams, I popped the Sam Croft one in, with the idea that people who don’t follow the sport won’t notice the difference anyway. Very cool to see the edit blow up and get so much attention on facebook. One year later, maybe it's time for the Eugen Enin Remix 2.0

I have a new appreciation for Eugen after this interview. He is obviously a phenomenal rollerblader, but after seeing this video, I can see he is such a genuine all-around good guy.

It’s almost like the level of skating is so high, that it takes more than just natural talent to be a leader in the sport. The top pros all have crazy mindsets and outlooks. They are like blade monks. So dope to have good leaders makes blading dope

These four guys are a clear example of the amplitude of our art, the reach of the sport, and the solidity of the community. Eugen and Joe are in the front of the charge with their influence and performance; Austin and Billy honestly guys thanks a lot for being amplifiers of the message of joy that is inline skating, with special focus on high adrenaline that is vert, street and freestyle. Shout out to everybody who knows about this, let's invite more people to enjoy!

There's nothing better than listening to Pros you have mad respect and admiration for, chat about the nuances and intricacies of a niche sport like ours. This is what those who watch football feel like when they watch the guys chat about players and strategies in the commentary box. These podcasts make it feel like our sport is huge and mainstream because of the way the podcast flows and the interviewing techniques feel so genuine. I think we will know when we have reached the peak when Eugen eventually gets invited to the Joe Rogan podcast. Here's to hoping.

It's so cool that bladers think about so many details...like when Eugene was talking about the donkey tails and how he always loves when people ride through it. Yes yes yes. Extra points for that no doubt

This was amazing. Love watching Eugen skate so it's awesome when we get the opportunity to hear him speak too. When it started I thought maybe he's nervous cuz he's talking fast, I'm halfway through and I don't think he's nervous I think he just talks quick!

"I danced around and killed him." 😂 Honestly though, after traveling quite a bit, it's so fascinating that people speaking a 2nd language can explain things so well. I think it's because you really have to think about what you're saying and how you're saying it. Anyway, great episode and I agree with Eugen that kind grinds are too hard to make look good.
