I just heard it playing as musical backround of Netflix's The Society series and instantly reminded me that I must have some sort of a soul

This is such a truly amazing song. The music, the lyrics. I've loved this song since it was on the radio in 1999(?), but just heard this live version (In this video) for the first time. It's also truly amazing that they can pull this off live, with such incredible feeling. I'm in awe.

I suppose you could give this song some credit and term it as 'nice'. It is just too samey and sounds like so much of the non-descript material that has been written and performed in the last 2 decades. Like the double bass, cello and accordion in the instrument line up.
