Jumbo Circuit, Mt Holdsworth - Living a Kiwi Life - Ep. 57

Close to Wellington Jumbo Circuit and Mt Holdsworth is one of the best multiday hikes you can do. Powell Hut in the Tararua mountains is spectacular and the ridgeline walk is stunning. There's also a cool goblin forest and great varied terrain along the tramp. Read more about this hike here: www.stokedforsaturday.com/201...
About the Series:
Living a Kiwi Life is about a Canadian couple (me and Jenna) who have lived in Canada all our lives and made the decision to move to New Zealand having never gone there before. We quit our jobs, sold our houses and cars and left everything we knew to explore an unknown.

We're headed back to NZ in 2023 for our first return visit since leaving 7 years ago. Now I've got a little extra motivation to try and finish editing all our remaining footage that's still trapped on hard drives ;)

Excellent idea. Your videos were an inspiration for our own (far too short) trip to New Zealand and I'm sure they are for many others as well. Thanks for that.

Glad they got you jacked up. We also drew inspiration from KZread before going to NZ the first time.

I was so confused when this popped up in my notifications! - I look forward to seeing what else you have locked away on those hard drives. - Enjoy your trip back, knowing you two, you have probably crammed it with a lot of activities already :) Just so you know you can do canyoning in wellington now from the 1st September ;)

I look forward to sifting through the files. I did save the best tramping video for the end (Cascade Saddle). Great to know about canyoning in Wellington now. This trip will be exclusively south island so we'll save canyoning for next time. I hear Queenstown has those battery powered hydrofoil surfboards now so we look forward to trying those!!!

@@Stokedforsaturday yes they do! Also got them in Wellington too! I think the luge in rotorua has new tracks also for when you go there too haha. Indoor skydiving also opened up in queenstown. Not sure if you ever did rocky mountain/diamond lake but that's my favourite short hike in wanaka. Might be good with the kids :)
