July unrest: survivors, families of victims cry lack justice
Some victims who were caught in the crossfire during the 2021 July
unrest decry a lack of justice.
Mxolisi Yeni speaks on behalf of families who have lost their loved ones. Simphiwe Mkhwanazi lost his leg after being caught in the crossfire. They talk to Xoli Mngambi about the ordeal. Yeni says the police say some cases have since been closed due to lack of evidence.

He didn't even issue a public statement to try and stop this violence which started in his name he just sat back and watched from his prison cell but still has support in KZN shocking indeed.
