I love East of Eden!
Can’t wait to hear what you think of East of Eden! And I’m really intrigued by the Stuart Turton book.

I hope I enjoy them both, but I'm more optimistic about one than the other 😅
I am looking forward to reading book 2 in the Emma M. Lion series and Swallows and Amazons with my boys.

I've heard one or two other people mention the Emma M. Lion series. It sounds good, I may have to check that one out! I've never heard of Swallows and Amazons, but I'll look into it.
I read The Last Murder at the End of the World last month and enjoyed it. It wasn’t amazing, but I love reading dystopian novels. The characters were a bit hard to keep differentiated though. I’m most looking forward to reading the book of short stories in the Wingfeather Saga in July.

I still need to read Wingfeather Saga in general. I own the first book but still haven't picked it up yet.

Very curious to hear your thoughts on East of Eden when you finish!

I'm hoping I enjoy it more than you did Grapes of Wrath, but we'll see 😅
I really really really hope you love East of Eden ❤

I do too! It sounds like it'll be really good!
I’m curious what you think of East of Eden. It has some interesting themes. I recently DNF’d The Hideaway. I didn’t like main character or some of her decisions and actions. I’ve read 2 other of Denton’s books and really enjoyed them.

That's one of the reasons I thought I would start with the earliest of her books on my list. If there are good things about it but I don't love it, there's a better chance I'll enjoy a later book more. There's not as good of a chance if I read a later book and go backwards. Hopefully I don't DNF it, but I guess we'll see.
Suki Alone has some immoral content in it, fyi. I DNFed it.

I actually picked it up a few days after I filmed this video, and yeah, there was one moment that I didn't like but it was so late in the book I just ended up finishing it. But I'm going to put the series down for now, until I see if the other book (or books) coming out is going to have similar content or not.
