No no no to that Death card. I don't have Brady but I'm definitely keen to see their oracle. From a different perspective re: walkthroughs -- I will say that I find them very useful; I don't feel like I'm being sold to. At this point there are decks I really want to see all the cards before buying, and a walkthrough (whether just a flip-through or more chatty) lets me do that without sifting through an hours long deep dive video.

If I consider buying a deck, I usually mute - watch a flipthrough, so I don't hear any gushing, and then stop at every card, and think about it. I do this at least 3 times, with at least a week in between, before buying, and more often than not the "excitement of the new" is wearing out already - money saved.

What you said at 1:53 is me too. I become obsessed with a topic or hobby for several months and then … next! It’s cool because I know how to do a lot of things but I wish something would stick longer. Is it an ADHD thing? Probably 😭

I hate thay death card too. I hate when people call death "rebirth". Death is a part of the process. Death is its own energy. Death needs to occur before rebirth can even begin.

Exactly! And if I would beforced to rename a card "rebirth" I'd actually choose the Judgement card. Makes more sense to me.

I am the exact same way about songs when I first get into them except I will also do this with entire albums for YEARS, even decades for some!! 😆😬

I have issues with the Witches Wisdom tarot 😪 cards are too thick for me, I didn’t mind the change in order of majors but yeah that death card sucks. My favourite death card is from the Crow tarot. Witches Wisdom I just used as altar cards for a couple of years but now I don’t use them at all. I like the look of the Witch sisters it has that Celtic Morrigan vibe. I might get it 🫣 I have loads in my to be read pile 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had a book buying spree 🤣 Happy July!

The new Tiera May oracle is the first deck I've actually pulled the trigger on for kickstarter after years of reading tarot and oracle. I've been checking the campaign several times a day.

Ah, The Witches Wisdom Tarot. I cannot connect with that to save my life. Death card is a nope for me too, and for some reason several cards yank me right out of the vibe. It’s like they are in the wrong world. If you ever figure out what to do with that deck, please share!

Try listening to The Dead South and The Ghost of Paul Revere. I love both groups. Saw them both in concert. Amazing.

The "new" version of the Witches Wisdom deck is actually the same size and cardstock, so you're not missing anything. Because the majors are renamed, would it be possible for you to find a different major in the deck that fits as Death? You could make Rebirth into the Judgement card or something else. I think renaming all the majors to the original names (keep or change the new numbering, whichever suits you) might make it a lot more usable.

So cool you are into Delta Blues based music! I think you asked for recommendations. If you haven't listened already, Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson and Elmore James are amazing. And of course Muddy Waters. And like someone else said in the comments - this video slaps!

@teslagoth9401 I literally just watched that the other day! In fact, I had a whole melt down over it (this is not the first meltdown I have had about this very subject). I've drawn up a schedule of free live music near me this summer, and I'm dragging my kids there so they know how music actually sounds. Omg I could write a dissertation on this.

I backed the Sybil Oracle too and stalk that KS page. I will be broken-hearted if it doesn’t fund.

I agree with Somnia being cold and distant. I won't be keeping mine, but I do think it is very well done and one of the only picture tarot decks I was even willing to try out.

I know what you mean about having a slower hobby rotation. The only time mine is sped up, is if my body suddenly decides I can’t do what I was. That death card in the witch tarot is disappointing thematically. I could never use it with the size anyways lol. The somnia and Brady already feel painful when I shuffle 😂🙈 love them both though. Super excited for Emi Brady’s oracle. It looks soooooo good already.

I’m an obsessive song listener too. Music just is like that for me … if a song fits my head or heart space it’s on repeat for days. Why are we like this??? 😂 Great video as always ❤️

My two new favorite decks are The Way Seekers Tarot by Anna Jedrzlewski and Old Style Tarot by Alexandra Ray. If you haven't seen them, you should investigate them.
