@@mrjones29 come on, have you seen Sophia in Marriage italian style?She manages all the different Ranges of acting: drama, comedy, farce she is warm, passionate and gives a legendary performance. With all the due respect but Julie Andrews in Mary Poppins just sings, beautifully, and smile,.her character has no psychological strenghth. Every critic in the US told to be sure that Sophia would win a second Oscar, but actually the Academy the previous year had awarded De sica with a best foreign movie Oscar and in 1962 with a best actress Oscar, that's why She did not win. Besides, Sophia portrayed a prostitute with three illegitimate children, puritan America preferred to give the Oscar to a nanny.
@mrjones29
5 жыл бұрын
@@maxpower2093 Thank you for your response, you have exposed my previous answer and no, I have not seen Marriage Italian Style yet, but now I will download and watch it. Sophia Loren is a Goddess of the big screen and of course a better ranged actor than Julie Andrews. But there was no way the Academy was not going to award her for that wonderful musical performance. Look at it this way, do you think Sophia could have done the same job that Julie done for Mary Poppins? If your answer is no, then that is the point of acting ranges, strengths and weaknesses. Neither were the complete actress on screen, both had weaknesses in other fields of composition. Actors have won Oscars before for playing prostitute types before and since so I don't think this is the reason. And if I followed your thought about why Loren didn't get the 2nd Oscar because of the legendary Vittorio De Sica previous win in foreign language film then I can say the same about Julie being nominated for The Sound of Music and everyone in the press and insiders saying she was nailed on to win her 2nd Oscar! Guess what? She didn't win because that's now said she already won for Mary Poppins two years earlier. I still think Debbie Reynolds' performance was worthy of praise though and I will seek out Sophia film and watch it asap.

It's problematic when people don't hire someone GOOD or people don't admit to it. I had full body lipo. You still have to exercise. Sorry. You still have to eat well. It doesn't last forever, and it isn't cheap. Also, it's like getting hit by a truck. But for things like masectomies or burns, yeah. A good one can work and you won't even see it. I used Dr. David Teplica out of Chicago. He works out of a hospital on Sheridan and Diversey. Used to be St. Joe's. Not sure what the name is now. Blue diamond facade over the windows. I hate to see people get badly hurt/die because no one admits to it. Never get a guy who works out of a strip.mall. Don't let ANYONE without an MD after their name AND board certified TOUCH YOU with a needle or anything LIKE one. Women have been badly burned by things like electrolysis or poisoned by prescription lidocaine (10%) and Saran Wrap on their legs. Soaked into her blood from her skin while she was driving and she died. Truth. Oh, AND hospital privileges. Don't let anyone touch you without it. Go to a hospital.
