“It wasn’t exactly my soul.” How intelligent Julie Andrews is!

Outstanding interview on what I believe to be a "C"lassic movie. Robert Vaughn channeling Robert Evans in his character (David Blackman) is phenomenal. Tournament-conditioned performances by many A-listers. William Holden's "Curtain's Role" performance as Tim Culley is a solid as any of his 70+ other movies. You can imagine Tim Culley really being the aged Bernie Dodd of The Country Girl. I've never seen this interview before. Thanks for posting (p.s. - it was because of S.O.B. that I then discovered both Darling Lili AND The Wild Rovers...). Check out the William Holden S.O.B. interview by Bobby Wygand.

1:11 this whole interviewer made me really uncomfortable because I know how uncomfortable it must have been for Julie. It must’ve been hard for her to do press for this movie.

Why did you want to make this film? Sort of an insulting question? When a good film comes out, no one asks Why did you want to make this film?

Julie’s hair looks brown here, Blake’s like a wig. What gives?

mckavitt She had various colors of hair over the years. Perhaps this shade is for the role?

Her natural hair is light brown. Although lighting plays an important role too. I think that whenever she could, she tried to keep it natural (before the gray began to appear, of course). As here kzread.info/dash/bejne/em2A1cF7ebq1dc4.html

Julie’s natural hair is light brown, in sound of music they made her ginger because they made a mistake while trying to colour it 😂
