Both are superb. I was fortunate to see Ana in concert twice. I hope to see her again and to get an opportunity to see Julia play live as well.

I've listened and watched about a dozen renditions of this by just about the most famous classical guitarists of the last 50 years. I have to say this is my favourite. The superb control of pulse during the A section ( I like the C7 with the /E by the way) but most importantly to me the way the B section isn't played with the usual (let's ape Segovia) OTT changes in pulse. This is the version that comes closest to the original piano version too. Thank you Julia. Apart from my flamenco chords in the B section this is the model for me to aspire to. ESTRELITTA

@David Miorgan not derogatory that's harsh. Segivia was brilliant however I just prefer this version where its closet to Albeniz piano. I play both that's how ai know. I'm not knocking Segovis FFS

@@johndobson1899 Segovia feels and understandings every note. His performance is sensitive and thoughtful. He was the master. Somehow how or other his rendition is more Spanish. I know Isaac would agree.

I love this. Vidovic is stately perfection and justly famous, but I love the personal style and passion from Lange here. Idiosyncratic without being pushy. Great great great.

Tremolo preciso e arpeggio chiaro: bravissima! Complimenti.
What a pleasant discovery. Julia's rendition of this well known piece is just amazing. I like the delicate melody of the mid section and the abrupt, yet elegant, changes in tempo. A quite underrated version IMHO.
Man, those arpeggios... I'd kill for a right hand like that.

That was beyond amazing. Heavenly is a better word to describe the talent this young lady possesses because it can only be granted by God. Some gifts you are just born with. It's like trying to teach an athlete to be fast. You either have it in you or you don't. Well played. Very well played.

I used to rank Julia amongst the top ten classical guitarists in the world. Now that she strums Asturias in maintaining perfect time and tempo with the picking (vs. Julia's own prior Asturias vid), I now rank her amongst the top four in the world, joining the only other three capable of this same magical feat (John Williams, Sharon Isbin, Ana Vidovic). ALL other guitarists lose their timing during the strumming vs. picking periods... As the youngest of the four such masters, Julia has an awesome future.

IndianaCRC, do not forget Paola Hermosin! She also has a fabulous technique, the two of them Paola Hermosin and Julia Lange do not differ that much from each other. They both are very, very good and have a lot of talent. Both that good that I started to believe in fairy tales once more, both belong in the top 5 of world players!
