JULIA GORIN online class "CHAN-CHAN" or tango poses for photos and/or finales"
In 2018 (!) Natalia Voronina from Samara’s tango studio “Provincia de TANGO”, asked us to create a short video for her new online project. This was long before we could even imagine the situation of today's world (2020-2021 ☹). The idea was to give a little introduction to tango for a general audience, and we came up with this topic “Chan-Chan” - or tango poses for photos” - so that on one hand we did not pretend to teach tango online, but at the same time we're sharing some tango ideas in the format, that could be interesting for a diverse group of people with or without previous tango experience. Natalia's project was never completed, but the video remained, so I have decided not to waste it, and perhaps you might find it useful. As they say: “In any joke - there is always a grain of …. Joke 😊”

В 2018 (!) Году Наталья Воронина - руководитель самарской танго-студии «ПРОВИНЦИЯ ТАНГО» попросила нас снять небольшой видеоролик для ее онлайн-проекта. Это было задолго до того, как мы могли представить себе сегодняшнюю ужасную ситуацию в мире (2020-2021). Идея заключалась в том, чтобы дать небольшое введение в танго для широкой публики, и мы придумали эту тему «Чан-Чан» - или танго-позы для фотосессий» - то есть с одной стороны, мы не претендовали на преподавание танго онлайн, но в то же время мы поделились некоторыми танго-идеями в формате, который может быть интересен разным группам людей. Проект Натальи так и не был завершен, но видео осталось, поэтому мы решили не выбрасывать его, и, возможно, вы найдете его полезным. Как говорится: «В любой шутке - всегда есть доля…. Шутки 😊»

I've watched the video again and counted 13 basic ending poses, many with additional variations in placement of the feet/legs, head and hands/arms. This is a wonderful collection of very beautiful poses (at least they are beautiful when done by you professionals!}. Our group (Traverse City Tango Club) of intermediate tango dancers will definitely try some of these.
