"The term “Canadian Tuxedo” is believed to have originated from an incident in 1951 when Bing Crosby, the famous American singer, tried to check into a hotel in Vancouver, Canada, wearing a denim jacket and jeans. The hotel clerk refused to let him in, deeming his outfit too casual for the establishment. Levi Strauss & Co., the manufacturer of the denim clothing, took notice of this incident and designed a bespoke denim tuxedo for Crosby, dubbing it the “Canadian Tuxedo” in honor of the country where the incident took place." - so yes, super American.

From a fashion designer stand point I think she is the only celebrity who would truly deserve to be the creative director of a major fashion brand.
