It was succesful enough but dudesons desided they have to change their lifestyle and series. It was way too dangerous and they broke like 20 bones in making of this series

It's because how were they going to bring in viewers. Most people had never heard of them and you can't portray it in a title of the show like "Dudesons: Finnish people that do a jackass type show that has actually been around almost as long and it's actually very different with huge stunts but also similar, basically try this show if you like jackass, you will probably love this". Plus people lost a lot of faith of MTV in general at that time. I remember I didn't watch it anymore because I thought it was just really shitty reality shows and I'm still sitting there thinking "how is this music television any more" from my late 90s- mid 2000s upbringing with it. So it's a multitudes of things, the only reason most people still watch jackass is because they became a cultural icon in the US, unlike this unfamiliar group from Finland.

ImABear no they didnt some of the jackass members from cky filmed stuff in 1990/1994 and it got shown jackass and dudesons started filming in 1997/1998
