Ani has gotten me through some incredibly rough times. I have seen her live more than any other artist, and flat out, amazing poetry aside, amazing compositions ignored, how in the ever loving fuck is she not regularly on the lists of greatest guitarists of all time. I’ve been playing for 20+ years now and revisiting her live shows I am now questioning my love of Jimi Hendrix as number one. He innovated the blues like no one before or since, but damn. Ani is interstellar.

This song just absolutely NAILS living through the trauma of deep grief. I am still moved to tears hearing it, even after all these years of listening to it. Thank you Ani, for speaking to our hearts.

She ruined the tendons in her wrists and had undergo surgery a couple of years ago. It´s pretty obvious why that was. Amazing musician, she´s been on 200% for many years.

She's absolutely viciously amazing in every way. She says leave me alone tonight I just wanna stay home. She fills a pot with water and drops in the phone....but the oil and the water just want to separate themselves...This dance is MINE.
