Yeah imma need a source for that monk statement cuz I ain't ever seen anyone refer to sukuna as a monk, even outside of the series like as a theory besides Asura or related to Buddhism cuz of the themes similar to cursed energy

We’re not getting a backstory 100%, when gege had to explain how gojos teleportation works, he also stated that he hates giving backstory, only gojos hidden inventory arc being an exception.

I think original commenter got the monk idea from sukuna’s domain name, which isn’t a stupid interpretation imo. My interpretation was that Sukuna, as the king of curses, controls a shrine normally meant to repel evil, and invert it to instead worship demons and chaos.
