These videos are honestly our favorites... good conversations with good people all in hopes that it encourages someone out there... We know some questions get juicy lol but it's nice to share questions and thoughts that we all have with people we trust. Y'all ready for some encouragement?!?
This one is interesting... I had a really good conversation with a buddy of mine in Tennessee and we got on the subject of "how much is too much?" regarding our pursuit of "things". I stumbled trying to find the right answer, I was genuinely searching and checking my heart...I started talking about the prosperity gospel and expecting God to do things for us and then I switched to the poverty gospel and denying any earthly blessing from God. I was struggling. Is it this much money? Is it that big of a house? Is it this size company? What is the moment when our pursuit of things go from blessings to burdens? And then it hit me. It has to do with our heart posture... For who is this "thing" for? For our kingdom, or God's? Am I pursuing this thing because I feel like I am lacking, or am I pursuing it freely? How would I feel if I never got this "thing" (whatever it is you want)? Would I be devastated? Or a bit let down, but move on in life because my contentment is found in Christ. So as you move forward in pursuit of things in this world, whether it be relationships, financial security, career accolades, and the million other things we want, I encourage you to pause and think to yourself... Who am I doing this for? God? Or myself? And do I feel less than which is why I'm going after this thing? Or am I pursuing it as a complete person already?
These are just a few things but I think it's a great way to check on ourselves instead of blindly pursuing things without knowing why we are.

Chad just wrecked me with the “relationships are not meant to be self serving” ☠️☠️☠️
love the analogy about previous relationships not working out because the two individuals were "playing different sports". I've spent a lot of time in tears over past relationships ending thinking there was something wrong with me or wishing I was someone different to 'be worthy' etc. etc. So hopeful Ill meet someone in the future in the circumstance that God will have prepared us both for each other. :)

That's why when getting into a relationship, the two need to communicate and get the serious stuff out of the way. If you kissed him on the lips, embraced him you pretty much given your emotional well being to him/her. Those sorts of things should happen if you truly know they are the one. Sadly, I don't think people will acknowledge this psychological fact because they were conditioned to do so.

I love that y’all touch on the communication and emotional intimacy of long distance and dating without sex. My mom told me for 9 years “I pray that you marry your best friend, and don’t worry physical intimacy will definitely come from that relationship because that’s how God designed it” and now I’m dating my best friend ❤️❤️❤️

My wife and I dated for 11 months before we were married, and we are SOOO glad that we waited. We were not settle g for that cheap fast food hahaha
I just have to say, yesterday I was thinking and had that same analogy that Chad was talking about, where life is not a buffet. I am not here to serve myself, much as my flesh wishes I were, rather I am here to serve God and His kingdom. He has really been teaching to work on this selfishness that I have held on to for a long time.

The closer you are to God the closer you are getting to the person Jesus has picked for U. I have been told to put God 1st priority in your life. Singleness is a time to work on yourself. 1. Letting God ❤ U first. 2. God can help you ❤yourself. 3. You are able to love others. Applying the Golden Rule and WWJD in a dating then courtship. God can help you make mature decisions that shows you truly care about the person.
