In 2017 I went to a long term drug rehabilitation center. I was there for almost 2 years. About 6 months in I saw a KZread comment mentioning an artist named juice wrld. This was way before he blew up. I looked him up on SoundCloud and his songs only had a couple of thousand listens. Not even 10k. His music was so beautiful. I was so shocked that he had such little views because of how good it was. One of those songs was lucid dreams. Real fans know how old that song was. I told my friends, I was like “you have to look this guy up, his music is so beautiful, I don’t know how he’s not more popular.” Of course they were like “it’s ok, or it’s not that bad.” But I was like “yooo this shit is crazy!” I say that to say, I wanted to give up at times. I had so much pain inside me and I knew that drugs would cover the pain. Only temporarily, but I wanted it to stop regardless. Instead of getting high I would listen to juice wrld and nothing else. I don’t know if I would have stayed sober with his music. Maybe I would have, maybe not, I don’t know. Either way, bro is a blessing. He helped me so much in a time that felt hopeless. I know I’m not alone. His music speaks to the soul. Especially people like me that are so damaged. Many months later lyrical lemonade release the video for all girls are the same and the rest is history. Bro was just as loved as he should of been. I love you juice wrld, we love you juice wrld. I know I’m not alone. RIP, you’re a blessing. Thank you for everything you did for me.

That being said, I've also struggled with substances for a long time now, opiates specifically. First, the percs, then the heroin, and eventually the fetty. In an out of rehabs, three years in federal prison for bank robbery, relapse after relapse. It doesn't matter if you fail a million times, as long as you keep trying because I promise you that ONE TIME will come, and it will stick. Then my homegirls brother know him and I gassed it up more and more cause he had the same issue with opiates like I did… I’m so glad he got where he did but that might have been the start of his demise…

God didnt take Juice. There was a Judas in his camp. Juice was getting way too powerful, his influence would have been absurd, the powers that be in this realm had to stop him. He was a pure soul thats not someone they want having that much influence. Talking about not selling his soul, all the others that reach that level sold theirs, Juice was different. He was too good and had to be stopped. Cant have someone with that much influence and reach talking about God and Jesus and gratitude. He had already helped so many and was just getting too powerful, he had no limit to what he could have accomplished. I know he was part of helping me repent and be saved by Christ. His music made me realize how corrupted I had become. Midnight Hours, Run and several other songs lead me to a spiritual awakening. Theres a reason Run didnt make the album. And Midnight Hours made me break down in tears because it was like a song about my life, it made me realize a lot about myself and cry out to Christ for redemption and to work thru me in my life.

I’ve OD over 17 times starting as a teen. I’m 30 now and own a house. I listen to juice everyday because all those years no one felt what I did. A father who was an addict and a mother who was sick with heart disease and suffered 5 heart attacks when I was a freshman. It ruined me. I’ve never known love and affection. We never hugged never said I love you, never did anything. My dad would spend weeks in bed at a time my parents DIddnt sleep in the same room. My sister left for collage so it was just me dealing with it all. I got hurt at work cutting my finger to the bone and was prescribed and that was it.

He might be a rapper that sings slow pace songs but I don’t think that is what the point that he was trying to get across.
