The Supreme Court of Judicature at Fort William in Calcutta, was founded in 1774 by the Regulating Act of 1773. It replaced the Mayor's Court of Calcutta and was British India's highest court from 1774 until 1862, when the High Court of Calcutta was established by the Indian High Courts Act 1861

Please check the difference between Judicial Review and Judicial Activism. Judicial Review refers to the power of judiciary to review and determine the validity of a law or an order. On the other hand, Judicial Activism refers to the use of judicial power to articulate and enforce what is beneficial for the society in general and people at large.

There are some mistakes to be noted in this lecture. Don't neglect these kind of mistakes. Chief justice is elected based on senior most in terms of EXPERIENCE in supreme court and not based on age.

sir main aapki judiciary system in india wali video 4-5 baar dekh chuka hun or is video ki madad se main 80 percent cover kr chuka hun lekin aapne bataya ki supreme court and high court ki powers same hai writ jurisiction wali power ko chodkar, lekin sir main hight court wali sarri ki sarri powers k bare me janna chahata hun kyonki mujhe supreme court or high court ki powers me different hoga aisa mujhe lagta hai kyonki supreme court k pas ek review wali power hai joki law me ya phir judgement me change la sakte hai, to is case me kya aise power high court k pas bhi hai ? supreme court k pas original wali power hai jisme wo state vs state and state vs ut ke dispute ko handle krte hain to kya aise power high court k pas bhi hai or agar hai to wo kiske dispute ko handle karte hain ? supreme court k pas ek advisory wali power hai jisme wo president ko advise de sakte hai to kya high court k pas bhi aise power hai jisme wo kisi ko advise de sakte hain? Sir, please mere in doubts ko door kr dijiye kyonki in doubts ki vajah se main kahin or jagah dhyan nhin laga pa raha hun. or agar ho sake to aap in sabki ek video hi bana dijiye. ya phir aap apni Saturday wali live class me hi bata dijiye lekin batane se pehle mujhe notify jaroor kr dena ki aap kis date wali Saturday ki class me bataoge.
