Mine is a Nutter rather than a Scooby, but he feels his Gentleman Fruit-Bat cousin on a spiritual level in this regard.

“A cross between a fruit bat & a gremlin” is a perfect description 😅 …how hilarious. And, his behavior is just priceless. How did you come across such completely different little soul? I’ve never seen a kitty like him before…so much fun to watch💘

"It takes him a long time to wake up." Then there's that look on his face. Conclusion: He's impiously communing with dark evil entities. No other conclusion can be drawn. None.

My half-Siamese cat Jude would talk in very elaborate long sentences, complete with tonal variation and much inflection. His sentences would go 6-7 seconds (count them, you can get a lot of words in over 6 seconds, and Jude sounded like a very intelligent human explaining a topic quite conversationally). It was like listening to a person speaking at length in a language you don't know but feel like you should. Sure wish I had recorded him talking, it was truly amazing. Like hearing a person in a cat body.

We had a tortoise coated female. Starting around age 10, she began having longer and longer conversations with the kids. They always talked with the cat in purposeful ways...repeating words and actions...so that Doodle would learn the concepts that the sounds they made embodied. Well, she began to reciprocate. After the kids left for college, I became the focus. Within a few years, we were having conversations. By age 18, she would go on for 15 minutes. I would come home after work and she would run up anf tell me all about her day. She passed at 22. My other cat was a dog. He'd wake me up every Saturday morning at 6 am because he wanted to go to the diner for breakfast, say hi to the regulars, and best of all ride in the pickup. He was a about the size of a big mainecoon but still a tabby...a very muscular 22 poind tabby. He'd have his rears legs on the seat, front paws on the dash, and just look at everything and chat away. He passed at 24.

My half oriental shorthair would do the same. I used to joke he thought he was an opera singer, especially a soprano, and would compare him to Bianca Castafiore (a character in the Tintin comic books) as some of his meows could be really high pitched!

What happened to your precious baby?

This cat has a strong attention span and level of alertness. Whenever he is spoken to - he is giving the person speaking to him his full attention and even verbally responds each time.. Unusual for a cat.

He's an Oriental Shorthair breed. Very vocal, highly intelligent and wants to be with their family all the time. He's a textbook image of one. With this kitty, you'll never be lonely or bored. 🐾🐾🐾🐾💗💗💗💗💗

Exactly, maybe not a pure breed. But deffinatly strong Oriental traits there, the face and voice and personality are a dead giveaway. I love this breed, I always call them dobby cats. I can never remember the exact name. 😂

But he is a long hair with green eyes. So I think while he may have some Oriental Shorthair in him, he has something that produced a brown cat. Hmmm.

With how chatty he is & the way his face/body looks, I'm guessing he's a mix of Siamese & Oriental shorthair. Both hilarious & goofy cat breeds lol

A Chocolate Balinese. I had a Flame Point and saw the similarities immediately: talkative, body language (mine could do ,”Who? Me?” every time I caught him doing something mischievous), and intelligent. I loved my Balinese to bits.

Scooby has a really incredible amount of self-awareness. He knows exactly what he wants and he's got a plan to get it. I've never had a cat that would communicate to this extent, but I had one that despised sneezing. Don't remember if he ever hissed for a sneeze, but he was willing to throw down over it.

@@Theonlygracius I have 5 oriental shorthairs and that’s definitely an oriental but he is and oriental long hair. He is a gorgeous little guy bursting with personality. Ps they can hold grudges like no other cat. Always remember kitty gets what he wants or he’ll poop in your shoe😂

I was allergic to cats as well. My whole life. Really bad. Got Asthma right away. and really bad. Always had to use the inhaler after just one minute of being in a home with cats) For health reasons j had to stop eating Gluten for a while (cut it out completely, not just no bread, Pasta, but didnt eat any. and then i had to stay in a room with a cat for about 30 Minutes. And i had no allergic reaction at all! Havent eaten Gluten since, and i even have a cat now! I learned that for most allergic reactions, also pollen allergy gluten is the cause..maybe you want to try it and maybe your Dream of having a cat comes true too. I wish i had known this decades ago. The Important thing is to avoid it a 100%. At the beginning it is hard, but once you See the benefits it is easy. (Not just cat allergy. I am More clear in my head and have more energy. I learned, i always had an inflammation going on in my body, although i only Noticed it when i had an allergic Reaction.) Knowing, that i am doing good for my body and mind on many other levels makes it easy to quit. And there are so many Alternative foods nowadays. Wish you good luck

I’m also allergic to cats. But I didn’t know until 5 years ago. And I have cats about 25 years. At the moment 4 cats. I think I don’t react anymore, because I immunized me. 😅

@@alinatekumara8541 That's very interesting. Very much considering trying it again. I went gluten free once for about a month but didn't notice too much of a difference. Maybe it wasn't long enough. Although I love cats, I'm severely allergic. I was told it was an enzyme in their saliva. Maybe it wouldn't affect me if it weren't for the gluten? Something to really consider.

You might be allergic to only one or a small handful of different allergens that cats can carry, so try visiting several different cats and seeing if you react. Different cats produce different allergens so if you're lucky you can find one that doesn't produce the allergen you react to. "Hypoallergenic" is a misleading label, though, as you can be allergic to a "hypoallergenic" cat but not allergic to a "normal" cat.

He’s an Oriental Shorthair. Don’t know what got mixed in to get that glorious ruff and tail, but the lanky body and the voice is definitely Oriental. They’re a *very* chatty breed and very smart.

@@ItsJustLisa I just learned there's apparently an Oriental Longhair too with that fluffy tail and a bit of ruff. Looks just like this funny, sweet boy. Both related to the Siamese. I had a part Siamese growing up that was also such a chatty girl with that distinctive raspy voice. Loved her. This smart boy is a real gem.

I love this guy. His "ways" remind me so much of Suschi, my Siamese, who used to claim me for himself by putting his paws on both shoulders. He also constantly brought me gifts of rubber bands, hair bands that he found. I MISS HIM SO MUCH! I could not watch this past a minute or two.

He is definitely part Siamese but his fur says ‘screw you Imma do what I want.’ He too perfect. ❤️

He looks like an Oriental Shorthair, kin to Siamese cats. The head shape, ear shape and set, body type, and of course...THE VOICE! Just darling!

I am pretty sure he also may have some Oriental Longhair in him as well if he's not a pure breed. The has the exact same face and body shape, plus they are known to be vocal. Edit - his IG confirms he is Balinese and Oriental Longhair mix

the wanting to talk back is for sure from the siamese side.. I have a cat, that's a mix of a regular house cat and a siamese... he's got noticably bigger ears than other cats and is very very talkative.. you can have conversations with him all day long.. which i think is awesome

@@whoknows8225 absolutely. Chatty (or moany as we would say) is very Siamese. We had a Mom and daughter Siamese and good gracious, they spoke, a lot.😊

I'm a cat-mama. You have your hands full with this awesome child! He's lucky you understand him. My siamese had the same type of personality. She never shut up! She was 19 last year when she crossed over the rainbow bridge. I miss her 😢

I understand! I have a male orange tabby that is part Red Burmese and he never shuts up and lets us know exactly what he wants!

Awwwww....he's a lovely cat, he's quite a talker, isn't he? I have two pet cats of my own, a male named Gengle, and a female named Holly, she is very smart too, she worked out that she can wake me up by pawing at my mouth when I'm asleep too, and she loves getting attention from me.

What an extremely unusual and unique kitty. I love him!

These cats were not adopted, they are purebred,show cats.

I love this cat. I love cranky , talkative, and loving.

You're so lucky to have him. What a special soul...

You can hear the purr at the end of a lot of his meows. I used to live with an oriental shorthair X tabby cross, he was also very very vocal and would follow me around and talk to me, and try to get me to carry him in my arms all the time.

Oh that was entertaining ❤. What a beautiful cat, and family!

Hahhaah love his meows while sleeping. He's wonderful - and blessed because I know for a fact if he was a pet of some people I know/some of my relatives, he would be abandoned or beaten. Both of you are blessed thank you for sharing your story!

You're right, I've never seen anything like him and I've seen millions of cats! LOL He even has a fox like tale I seen, watching him run. I would gladly have one that looked just like him. His nature is quite similar to by boy's. We talk all the time too. But oh boy, he is needy to the point where I want to get a sitter and go to a movie just to get away from him for some peace. Tep, he too has learned to open doors with knobs for handles.

He's gorgeous. Love his voice.

Love his face! Reminds me of the hairless sphinx breed. They tend to have long noses. His body fur is like a sheep - long along his main body and short on his legs and face. Love his little chats. Cats only talk to humans. They snarl at other cats when they're at odds and reserve their talks for human intervention. So, this little fellow really likes you because he talks to you so much.

This cat is hilarious 😂🤣 When she asked him "are you okay?" Out in the snow ❄️☃️ bd he had to think about it and stare at the snow on the ground and then was like Nooooo! And waddled / ran back to his cat mum .. so funny. And I cracked up when I saw he actually talks in his sleep .. seriously this cat is on another level .. awake and asleep! Lol Ahh and he went to meow at her sneeze but simply yawned instead so cute 🐱 🐈 He really does know how to make the most of the acoustics in the house 🏠 lol 😆

Having a strong bond with a cat is like no other bond. It’s amazing! Kevin, our furry family member, has gotten me through the toughest times. We are so fortunate that he chose to move in with us and stay.
