In the first two chapters of the book of Judges we see that Israel tried to do the right thing... and failed. The first generation didn't finish the job. The second generation made compromises. The third generation gave themselves fully to pagan idolatry.
People like to say "kids these days"... but what about parents these days? Or what about grandparents these days? Every generation needs an encounter with God and every generation needs a revival of the soul.
