The Pier 1 Cougher, defendant, was arguing with the Pier 1 staff for 55 minutes demanding to return an item that she did not even have with her, but wanted credit for a broken item via picture on her phone. Additionally, she also demanded to use the Pier 1 employee bathroom - which has never been open to the public - but especially during a pandemic and all before she assaulted this woman. That is entitlement and privilege.

The Judge, His Honor J Ruth, pointed out over and over and over that Mrs. Hunter has made this case about how she and her family were affected and hasn't shown the court (His Honor J Ruth) that she is concerned at all about the impact her actions had or could have had on Mrs. Sprague and her family. What does Mrs. Hunter's lawyer do when given the chance to address that? Argues MORE about how much this has affected Mrs. Hunter and HER family. And oh, yeah, she's sorry. I really do pray this has been the wake-up call Mrs. Hunter needs, but this case was about her actions towards another person. Not her, herself, her family, her business, her, her and HER. They missed the point. His Honor used the words 'possible deadly consequences' several times. The Defense? 'But look at how my client has suffered.' I would be fearful for my worst day to be out there. For my life and my family's lives to be in the public eye in such a negative light. However, this isn't about anyone other than the VICTIM and HER family's health, whether the defendant was 'aware' of their health risks or not. Wrong is wrong. The Defense Lawyer and Defendant both missed this point utterly and completely.

Even ateists pray when they are in battle fields, because at the end of the day when you are facing an almost certain death, hope is all you have left. And yes I do TRUST MODERN MEDICAL SCIENCE, I do not trust something that cannot be DEMONSTRATED TO BE TRUE, something that cannot be verified, something that is based on no evidence at all. Why is it that MEDICAL SCIENCE has developed life saving drugs, remedies and vaccines to so many deadly and debilitating diseases. I grew up in the 1950s the era of the Cold War when annihilation was a real possibility, but it was NOT the greatest fear that young people experienced. The greatest fear was a disease called POLIOMYELITIS, the newsreels of row upon row of IRON LUNGS keeping people alive still haunt me. The letter was sent months after she had already given her attorney and the state the results of her negative results. She was unaware that she wasn’t notified and the state said she was notified of the results. She probably didn’t remember because brain tumor surgery and treatment does affect short term memory and some people can experience day to day forgetfulness. Meaning they can’t remember what happened the previous day, week, month until it becomes part of their long term memory. Some can be 6 months up to 5 years later before they can recall an event. Most people have to write a daily journal to keep themselves up to date on current events. My niece underwent surgery for a tumor in her brain and she was 15 at the time. It took 5 years before she was fully healed and could remember day to day memories, weekly tasks and even monthly events. Our brain is a wonderfully beautiful complicated organ but we don’t know what she is remembering or what her personal struggles are but she admitted that if they told her they must have she just doesn’t remember.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR HER VULGAR ACTIONS. She spit on an innocent bystander. I wouldn’t spit on anyone ever it’s absolutely degrading. And her excuse for having been under extreme distress is laughable. Like I said I would never spit on ANYONE and we’ve had a damn stressful almost 5 years... We had just pulled my husband’s TSP retire to pay $60k for repairs on our home that weren’t covered by Homeowners Insurance (honestly it was our first owned home and we didn’t peruse it until we made repairs) Then the following year (after having our first daughter who spent over 100 days in the NICU while being pregnant with our 2nd) had a pipe burst in our house that filled up our basement and overflowed from the crawlspace and into our lower level. We were staying at my grandma’s house trying to help with the Estate and dealing with Probate because my grandmother had passed away just weeks prior. Also my grandma was my best friend and I held her hand as she took her last breaths in the ICU post hip replacement surgery due to a fall at her home. So back to the house that had a waterfall, we used our Homeowners insurance and they covered over $170,000 dollars in remediation and repairs due to the extensive damage. They had to move all our belongings out of the house into a conex and after over a year of restorations our contractor stole materials, didn’t pay the subcontractors essentially he ran off with $45,000 of cash we paid and he didn’t give to the workers or subcontractors along with whatever additional expense of theft of materials. We were weeks away from moving back in and had luckily gotten help through our fellow military community to complete our repairs and close out our permits so we could move back in - all we had left was tile, hardwood flooring, paint, and installing fixtures and appliances aka the trim out. Well then there was an 7.3 earthquake and due to all the water that flowed from the top floor of our house when the pipe burst down into the crawlspace and once the crawlspace was filled it continued by overflowing into the lower level of the house... had applied so much lateral force that once the earthquake and subsequent liquefaction of the soils in the crawlspace... it affected the structual integrity of our foundation and our local municipality along with FEMA red tagged our house stating no one could inhabit the property. To add salt to the wound because we hadn’t been sleeping in the house at the time of the earthquake we could not qualify for FEMA assistance for the repairs and we unfortunately did not have earthquake insurance. So for now we continue to pay the mortgage and due to not being able to secure funding and having already spent out life savings and pulling out my husband’s retirement already we can not afford to make repairs which means we can not move into the house. So luckily before the earthquake we purchased a condo with the intent to have it as an income property when repairs were completed and we had moved back into our house. When that didn’t happen we luckily had a place to live, regardless of having to continue paying both mortgages. So she can shove her pity party where ever she prefers. That’s a BS excuse and it proves her character.

This lady claims to have found her way and is now on a better path thanks to this incident. Nope. I'm not buying it. @ASMR Samantha Says I wasn’t trying to make her look good. I’m just tired of all this hate being on this woman for such a minor thing. People are rude to me at my job and they get loud, but I don’t expect someone to film it. She didn’t even know who she was coughing on. The woman just happened to have cancer and everyone keeps going on and on about that. If I sound like a bitch, I’m sorry, but I can’t help, but think that Heather Sprague is partially responsible for this. Even though filming in public is legal, what was her purpose? And she filmed someone irate so I can’t imagine what she thought might happen when that person discovered she was being recorded.

@@KLeigh-ts2ih Agreed. A mother of 10 with a brain tumor has enough on her plate to get involved in something clearly not her business.

Judge Ruth, I enjoyed watching your courtroom. You seem to be a very fair, caring and compassionate judge. Thank you sir for your many years of service.
