Two of the best movies of the 80s...STRIPES and Fast Times. Judge should be proud of those...as well as the Beverly Hills Cops.
Fast Times perfectly captures big box high school life in the 1980s. I graduated in 1985 and that movie nailed it.
Fast Times, Stripes, Beverly Hills Cop, judge is a legend

Tom Hanks stole his career. I've seen creepy things about Hanks, never about Reinhold. Guttenberg was huge too and Hanks just took over that whole 'nice regular guy' thing and left the others in his dust.
Looks insanely good for 67. Wow. Fast Times is the best.

@Lucky.Lucky.Lucky7777 Awe c'mon man. He's still that quirky awkward nervous teenager from Fast Times. Didn't even notice he had work done. Pretty humble and intelligent guy not to mention his wit
That scene with Phoebe Cates is one of the most famous scenes ever. Fast Times is one of the best movies ever.
The scene with Brad practicing his girlfriend breakup speech in the bathroom of the restaurant and what was written on the mirror; cracks me up.
I was 13 when _Fast Times_ came out; I’d grown up at the Sherman Oaks “Gonorrhea” (as we called it). We saw it IN the Pacific 4 theater there, so it was like “Inception” to see into the actual theater. I remember the crowd goin nuts throughout. Naturally it’s thee most nostalgic flick of my life.
I loved Stripes but dammit, Cheech and Chong in the Army had potential 😅

2 of THE classic films from the 1980's (along with "Caddyshack"). Always liked Judge Reinhold & still seems like a real, down-to-earth nice guy.
I graduated high school in 1979 in Orange County and Fast Times was spot on.

Two of the greatest comedy movies of the era...and a great era it was
How can you not love The Judge?
Stripes is one of those movies on the Mt. Rushmore of comedy!
I remember when I 1st moved to Dallas Texas. I was in a grocery store and askes one of the clerks where was the beer section. The person said "It's Dry". I replied with "Yeah, it's pretty hot outside." I was quite shocked to find out what a dry county was.
l was stationed at Ft. Knox and used as an extra in Stripes. The cast stood in Muldraugh, KY which was very dry. John Candy would get his beer just over the county line at a place called the Chicken Shack in Radcliff, KY.
Damn over 41 years later and my soldier is still saluting over that scene !!

Spicoli will always be Sean Penns best character/role.
He still has that deep voice.
That voice takes me back..
I always thought he was going to be a huge megastar.. He was fantastic in everything he did. I still think my favorite work of his was from the movie, Daddy's dying, Who's got the Will".. that gets overlooked but to me, he made that movie way better. But then again, I think thats what he does in every film he's in, he makes it even better. I mean imagine Stripes, Beverly Hills Cop, Ruthless People, The Santa Clause and Fast times without Judge... none would have been as good.

I believe he could have been, but Hollywood put him into the position of a role player mostly in comedies. They didn't think of him as a leading man. His story in Fast Times was the most interesting to me and he did a great job.
He was also great in "Ruthless People"!
:) 80s were the best. I remember so many of those movie lines....
i have recreated that scene multiple times since i saw it on VHS tape in 1983... Phoebe xo
Sgt Hulka was in an episode of Lost in Space
He looks great for his age, but I never noticed how big his ears are until this interview.
Damn! I wish I have party with John Candy during filming of Stripes!!

Rich Too bad that you didn't have Phoebe Cates on standby knowing Judge visited your set. When Judge talks about famous scene with Phoebe, then she surprised him would have been gold to see his reaction.
The greatest line in Stripes (in the recruiter's office): "Are you now, or have you ever been, a homosexual?" "You mean like flaming?" "It's just a question we have to ask." "No, but we're willing to learn!"
Fast Times is right in my wheel-house.
I met Judge Reinhold several years back at a Comic Con…couldn’t have been a nice guy in person…got a picture with him…and a Fast Times All American Burger Pic signed..”Mister,you don’t shut up I’m gonna kick 100% of your @$$”-Brad Hamilton
ALOHA MR. HAND
I cant wait till they reboot Stripes and Fast Times too its going to be so great just like how the new Beverly Hills Cop is going to be a great movie and not just a terrible blatant money grab!

Among PJ Soles best work.
Toronto, John's home town, had a little "dry" section. "The Junction" held prohibition era laws for some reason until 2000. Strange little anomaly.
You can't tell the story of the NFL without John Candy. Super Bowl 23 Final Drive. Joe Montana to Harris Barton. Think about it.
Lol I know that area I used to go camping for a festival at Camp Carlson every year and have to drive to the county line to buy alcohol.
I just wanna know how long the rope Brad shot was when Phoebe opened the bathroom door. A cpl feet? I relive that scene daily lol.
Seems like a real cool dude. 😊
But where did John Candy get all the beer he put in the bathtub?
*_"I was wondering...uh..are you, uh...you know, holding?"_*
Ky used to be very dry. Bourbon country was dry
Great movies but Judge made me cry in Ruthless People when he was selling the kid the speakers and he told him if he couldn’t afford it to finance it! When I was 17 in 1983 I financed a $3,000 Pioneer Hi-Fi when I was making $3.15 per hour so that’s what made that so funny to me.
I miss judge reinhold's court show
