The jury directions and verdict forms are not evidence and should not have affected the outcome of the Karen Read trial. The judge should facilitate clear communication between the jury and the court, so that their verdicts are communicated clearly to the court. The judge was not a facilitator in this case - far from it. I have my own ideas why - but I wonder if these verdict forms can be found now? I completely agree with your comment. I hope that the punishment of Karen Read by the judicial process ends, and she wins mightily in the civil courts.

@@justme9794 Prison is justice for the victim's and their families. Courts are about the defendant's. Making sure they committed the crime they are charged with. Making sure there's nothing weird going on the state would rather cover up. They're not for you to satiate your vicarious bloodlust hearing every ruling go against the defense. So you cheer from home too ignorant to comprehend what you are cheering about. There's something very weird about this case. Seth Kenny, the Sara woman and all the state. I don't know why Seth Kenny was allowed to be caught on body cam pocketing a round at the scene. While telling the cop you shake the dummies and hear the rattle and oh shit look over there. I don't know why he got to lead the investigators and prosecutor around by their noses. I don't know why no one cared when it came out Morrissey not only had privileged communications between Reed and her attorneys but gave them to Seth Kenny on top of everything wrong with that. But there's something really messed up about this situation they just decided to cover up rather than investigate. Cases like this get tossed not on technicalities but because once a prosecutor proves they can't be trusted. You can't trust that they didn't do much worse and were just not caught. Our courts have errored way too far to letting prosecutors like Morrissey run rampant. Innocent people go to prison all the time. Then the same American public that whines about "technicalities" whines instead "how could this be allowed to happen?"

If the State has any evidence (and they are the ones with the resources to collect it) and they don’t turn that over, then it makes the entire system a joke.

In an interview, she said during the lunch break she suggested to the prosecution group, they dismiss the case, that it wasn’t right, it was proper procedure, yada yada, and they told her “No.” When they came back from lunch, and Morrisey took the stand to try and defend/talk her way out, that’s when Johnson said she couldn’t be apart of this, walked up the judge and resigned.

It seems that over the last 8 years there has been a very significant shift in the culture of the DA’s and local Prosecutors. Decisions on which cases to prosecute. The lack of separation between police and the courts. Manipulation of law and jurisprudence to lay charges. We need to push back. Misconduct such as this needs to be addressed with serious consequences and be made public. Law needs to be written clearly and specific. The ambiguity in the law is how lawyers win and lose and that is not ok. Law needs to be objective or as objective as it can be. There is too much nuance.

She lied under oath about when she became aware of the cartridges. I think at some point all these women realized they were played by Seth Kenny. But instead of coming clean they just decided to help him further cover things up. Here's the best part. After the Reed trial body cam video came out. It showed Kenny "helping" the detectives. He picked up a "dummy" and while shaking it and explaining it should rattle realized it didn't. He then pocketed it. All caught on body cam. It's a great oh shit moment and it's kinda sad it didn't get more attention.

Even if the prosecution was honest and upfront, they had no business prosecuting him. Alec had what he thought was a movie prop. There was no negligence on his part. Now, if he was an NRA instructor or former cop, that would be a different story. The sole blame rested with the armorer who was convicted.

About the only good, somewhat organized courtroom outcomes we've seen is Deep, and Rittenhouse. In last few yrs. All these live streamed trials have either exposed or are part of the problem with modern jurist prudence. I don't think we have fully grasped the power of the live chats while the trial goes on... you can't convince me that jury's aren't seeing any of that info???

I would only watch Stream channels that felt Alec Baldwin was a victim too.. I realize it takes a special kind of weirdo to be a good actor so Alec's bizarre behavior did not sway me in any direction... I believe there was possibly a hateful human that set him up and felt his attorney was going in that direction BUT BOY I never thought it would be STATE !! I am Shocked...

AB was apparently aware that Hannah had brought live rounds on set. For that reason, one could argue that he should have checked the gun himself. But the defense suggested that Kenny had mistakenly brought live rounds on the set, mislabeling them. If AB had seen the round taken from a box marked "dummies," he wouldn't have had a rationale to check the gun. Kenny's error would also absolve Hannah of wrongdoing, too.

The armorer case should also be dismissed with prejudice. Every case under the Santa Fe DA office is now suspect. Talk about a sh*tshow. I hope they prosecute everybody who conspired these 2 trials.

I love his knowledge and learn a lot watching his pointing out when lawyers screw up, but his personality just keeps me so engaged! I love he doesn't act so prim and proper and watching his language 😂 he calls it ass he sees it, and sometimes when he's shocked a curse word just flies out😂😂😂 He's out kind of people, not pretentious at all, and that's endearing to me. I love Chandler too! She's a ride or die for Larry and I love it! She's also smart and beautiful as well. ( A great match for him!)❤❤❤

Something has been bothering me about Morrissey‘s actions. She refused to deal, she went against her co-council to the point that her co-council resigned then she took the stand after being told she didn’t have to almost encouraged not to is it possible for somebody to be that arrogant or did she have some false sense of security because she’s done this many times before and always gotten away with it
