Jude law is a blessing. "The young pope" is one of the best shows I've ever watched.

Very good series. Very intelligent series. No car chases, no fights, no explosions,no surgeries, no cops,lawyers,doctors,fireman or aliens. Very good.

This was such a good series...really compelling viewing and beautifully crafted. I can't wait until series II.

Wrong.... "Filming for the second season hasn't started yet, but showrunner Paolo Sorrentino has been writing the script since at least last October, after the first three episodes premiered at the Venice Film Festival."

Saw the finale last night and all I can say is Bravo!!!! What a great performance and Paolo Sorrentino- stupefacente!!!! Diane Keaton and Silvio Orlando - I'm a superfan!!!

Judd Law is magnificent in this role. Also, the scenes are absolutely gorgeous. Great script, cast, Director, costumes, etc.

Even with high profile series like this one, I still think he's an underrated actor.

I agree! I’ve been digging more into his roles and he’s brilliant! I almost wonder if he ever regrets being so pretty that it distracts from talent?

A masterpiece. Sorrentino is truly the most intelligent and truly faithful Catholic I have ever seen. Law is amazing. An inspiration to all actors. BTW, dear CBS, in the description of the video about Law's "latest role" you should really mention the name of the director.

Don't ya worry! Because.. A) HBO® didn't merely "produced" it! It CO-produced it and in a "rarest of the rare" instance, it doesn't own the show. B) The sequel with entirely new cast* has been ordered! It's titled "The New Pope" tentatively. C) It'll air not before sometime in late 2019. *Hold up! Mr Law will in fact be transitioning to the sequel. Although, details over his character remain unspecified.

Watched the last episode of series two today... absolutely loved Jude Law as Pius XIII ❣️

CBS Mornings KZread Channel, thank you for sharing this. I may have overlooked this previously within the last seven years of this post and I apologize for still not having the courage to watch such a powerful series. This series is reminding me of what I’m currently watching and catching up on within Netflix, “The Crown,” however, this is more Rome. As cinematographic as could be. Not even artificial intelligence could replicate but it does, I imagine the character June Law represents, portray an “American” aspect of peripheral point of view it seems.

This tv show is the best I’ve seen in years. Better than GOT for sure. Two seasons and you got it all !!

I'm so glad he accepted the role of the young pope. It's definitely for him. Legit!

Jude Law was perfectly cast as the Pope. What a stroke of genius. My favorite series or movie experience in my 58 years. This is however the dumbest interview I've ever watched. Thank you JL for an unforgettable series.
